    • Maria I’m starting to like him too. Prefer him to A. Zverev. I think they will make a great rivalry in the future. 🙂

  1. Fed was not playing that well. He has good patches and bad ones but most importantly he’s still, as always, very clutch and opportunistic.

Tbh I don’t see Rafa’s current form beating this Fed and now there’re no Dimitrov and Raonic to test him before the potential semi against Nishikori.

But first one match at a time. Not sure what kind of ride will Rafa give us tomorrow 😥. Hope that the Kohls match has really awaken him. Stay focused and don’t give your opponent too much credit, Rafa.

See you all tomorrow, dear Rafa fans.

Oh, and the match is scheduled at 11am local time.

    Good night. 🌌🌙

    • Correction: Sorry, bviously Eurosport got the match time wrong. Rafa vs Mahut match starts after the 1pm match, local time, tomorrow, so that’s about the same time as Fed’s match today.

    • I could see the Rafa of the third set giving Roger a test, but Roger is just so full of confidence right now. He reminds me of Novak before Wimbledon where he was a set up before the match even started. I think Kyrgios could give Roger a tougher test than Stan in the semis.

  2. Oh Maria stop it. That’s so lovely and yet sad at the same time. Animals – they break my heart.

  3. Vy apparently accordong to the commentators ‘in miami the Latino players get a lot is support’ from the crowd. They love rafa here too. Yes clapping double faults is bad show from any crowd.

  4. Holly is 12 and gets on fine with Golam unless there’s food around , then Golam had better get his usain bolt legs on. Golam is 16 and tolerates Holly, he looks at her like she’s beneath him ,but she hasn’t been well lately and he looks at her with sad eyes

  5. The Jolly Roger sails into the sunset again, but beware Rafa is over the horizon and ready to sink your ship and claim the treasure for himself (Lol) 🇪🇸

  6. Poor del potro. Such a gentle giant. Not such a great night but all I can say is cmon Nick. Still can’t believe I’m saying that. Lol. We were robbed of a great potential quarter final between nick and Roger in Indian Wells. Still not convinced Roger wld have got through that one.

    • I also hate it when the crowd cheers for the players’ faults, especially when a player is facing BPs. But the crowd here loves DP, Susie. 🙂

      • Vy, I had to take DelPo at his word but you were probably correct about his injury. I feel for him. He loves tennis so much he could not bear to stay away permanently. And we know about Rafa playing injured while suffering from pain. That’s the athlete who loves what he does.

        RAFA ROCKS

      • Yes, Margo, he plays great at times but clearly isn’t the same player (relatively only because of the inevitable aging). Rafa also said he was having no injuries but “pain free was a long time ago” when being asked about his health at the beginning of this year. 🙁

DP is nicknamed giant Teddy bear and Rafa is also like a puppy at times. Lol at the furry theme. 😅

  7. Sorry vy didn’t see your message. Raffy gets called rafael – his full title – when he is being naughty – like at the weekend when he leapt up next to the cooker and tried to steal chicken. Happily he did not succeed as it was covered up. I call him raffy so as not to get mixed up with our Rafa. He’s a tabby and white cat and very sweet. Delpo lost another break point. Grrrr

  8. Yes poor Del potro he has to be the unluckiest tennis player around with all the injuries he’s endured over the years , but still he comes back time and time again .

  9. “Will he come back at World number 1?”

It’s really getting on my nerve. At least show some restraints before the match even ends.

  10. “… Federer, who was playing like a God…”

Good lord, when will this kind of comments in Fed’s matches ever end?

    • It gets a bit sickening, doesn’t it? All credit to Fed for his great success so far this year, but the commentators , and tennis officials, really go overboard about him.
There have been great tennis players before Fed and there will be great tennis players after Fed but comments like “playing like a god” are just too much.

  11. On a serious note – I sincerely hope del potro has not injured his wrists again and the tape is just for precaution. That would be too sad!

  12. I always have rafael close to my heart vy. Whether it’s our Rafa or my raffy. Both as cute as hell
