Rafael Nadal, who made an early exit at Queen’s, will prepare for Wimbledon by playing two matches as part of The Boodles tournament at Stoke Park, Buckinghamshire. Novak Djokovic has also been confirmed for the tournament.

Tournament director Patricio Apey said: “We are delighted to have received the phone call from Rafa which just adds to an already excellent line-up. We are happy to do whatever we can to help Rafa finalise his Wimbledon preparations here at The Boodles 2015.”

The event starts on Tuesday and runs until Saturday, although it is yet to be announced when Rafa will play.

  2. As another commenter mentioned a few days ago, Rafa is in major denial about his game. He doesn’t seem to understand that adjustments are needed. Simple adjustments, easy adjustments, obvious adjustments, but adjustments nonetheless. Adjustments that I’ve outlined many times before, so I won’t dwell on them here.

It reminds me of Federer refusing to use a larger head size racquet for so many years, despite so many coaches, analysts and fans urging him to do so. When he finally did make the change at the start of 2014, his on-court results improved dramatically. I’m sure he deeply regretted not making the switch years earlier.

Mark my words. When Rafa retires in a few years, or less, with 14 slams and a few more 250 trophies, he’ll rue the day that he decided to stick with Uncle Toni & Francisco Roig – and only those two – come hell or high water. He’ll rue that day for the rest of his life.

    VAMOS!!!
