WATCH: Rafael Nadal plays doubles with Roger Federer at Laver Cup

Roger Federer’s final professional tennis match ended in defeat as Team World claimed a doubles victory over Team Europe at the Laver Cup on Friday.

Roger, alongside Rafael Nadal, served at match point in the deciding tie-breaker but was unable to sign off from the ATP Tour with a victory as Jack Sock and Frances Tiafoe edged a gripping contest 4-6 7-6 (7-2) 11-9, the win secured at close to 12.30 a.m. local time at London’s O2 Arena.

  2. End if an amazing era. What a night and a beautiful send off for Roger. Rafa clearly looked sad and all were crying including me. It’s just a moment you wish time could stop. McEnroe is so right. Roger is the Baryshnikov of tennis. 🎾♥️

  3. Okay that was tough, Roger was crying, Rafa was crying ….. I was crying (ha!)!!! But I’m so happy that he went out playing with his peers, especially Rafa! Shame they didn’t win, but it was a competitive match and Roger and Rafa looked like they were having fun, which is the most important thing!!
