Twenty-time tennis Grand Slam champion Rafael Nadal was all praises for the Philippines’ Alex Eala after the 15-year-old clinched her first professional title on Sunday.
Nadal posted a photo of Eala on his own Instagram account on Monday, as he congratulated the young tennis ace for the “important moment” in her career.
“We are all very happy for you! Keep up the good work and attitude,” Nadal wrote on his Instagram page, accompanying the post with the hashtag “vamos (let’s go).”

Rafa does not like to be in limelight for his generosity to various organisations. Those that are in a position to do so should not boast or band it about. Rafa has utter respect for himself in what he doesl. A glory hunter he is not…but same cannot be said for others in similar financial positions
I suppose he was upset about being criticised for not saying anything, but I hope he doesn’t start getting too involved. It’s not going to help if everyone starts arguing over social media. Just watched the Mastermind episode mentioned by Bobby Seagull, but you only get about 10 questions these days – it used to be more like 20!

I think Rafa’s saying that he tried to help behind the scenes and he’s not happy about being attacked for not previously going public with his efforts.
Yes, it very well could be BUT he’s also directing anger at “someone” by using the word “propaganda,” which is in total opposition to what he’s about. I hope by now he’s over his anger. Save that energy for tennis.
It did enter my mind if he was the impetus for the one-day delay of the ATP CUP. I received an early morning email notification of the revised start date.

Rafa’s statements are often translated wrong. Propaganda has a word in English and that is: Advertising. The word Propaganda used while speaking in English has a different meaning, right?
With Rafa’s interviews it is usually a matter of bad translation.
