Rafael Nadal Celebrates Spain’s World Cup Triumph from Mallorca

All eyes were on the World Cup final between Spain and Argentina, played in New Jersey last night, as La Roja lifted the trophy with a dramatic 1-0 extra-time victory over Argentina.

Although our champ wasn’t in attendance, he followed the action closely from his home in Mallorca. Shortly after the final whistle, Rafa took to social media to celebrate Spain’s historic triumph with his family and friends.

In the photos and videos he shared, Rafa could be seen proudly wearing a white adidas Spain jersey without any player’s name or number on the back as he joined in the celebrations.

Rafa also personally congratulated Ferran Torres, who scored the decisive extra-time winner, leaving a congratulatory comment under the forward’s Instagram post after the victory.

As has become his trademark after Spain’s major sporting successes, Rafa didn’t single out just one player. He also congratulated the entire Spanish squad on Instagram, applauding the collective effort that brought the FIFA World Cup back to Spain.

If you missed Rafa’s reaction, check out his celebration below!
