Top seed Rafael Nadal continues his Australian Open campaign when he meets 23rd seed Nick Kyrgios in the fourth round on Monday.

Date: January 27, 2020

Match time: 7 PM local time / 3 AM EST – New York, Montreal / 8 AM GMT – United Kingdom / 9 AM CET – Spain, France, Germany, Italy.  To convert to your local time, use this website.

Rafa leads the Australian 4-3 in their ATP Head2Head series. Last time the two met, our champ prevailed in a thrilling four-setter after Kyrgios was backing up from a night out at Wimbledon Village’s Dog & Fox pub.

Rafa’s coach Carlos Moya:

Every match is different. I think there’s going to be very few chances for both of them. The player who’s going to take advantage of those few chances is going to win the match, so it’ll all depend on three or four points.

Nick on playing Rafa:

I’m super excited, honestly. Playing one of the greatest tennis players on centre court at your own Slam, it’s pretty damn cool.

I’ve got a lot of time between now and then. Obviously, it’s going to be another physical battle. Nothing comes easy with him. He had a relatively routine match today, so he’s going to be feeling good. I’m looking forward to it. That’s why you play.

Rafa is looking to become the first man in the Open Era – and only the third man in history (Rod Laver and Roy Emerson) to win each major twice. He is guaranteed to remain at No. 1 in the FedEx ATP Rankings if he reaches the semi-finals at Melbourne Park.

GOOD LUCK & VAMOS RAFA!

  6. We might we’ll be having a Milo’s Raonic vs Roger Federer semi-final. But we’ll see.

As always, we go match by match, game by game and day by day……..cheers!!!!

    • Maria, let’s hope that Milos blows Novak off the court with his serves – 35 aces against Marin Cilic is outstanding!

      • Against Nole, he can’t make those many aces.. He is aweful 0-9 against him.. Barely won any sets.. Hope he turns it around this time

      • Raj, I hear you, but the Milos i saw on Saturday looked sharp and his movement around the court and play at the net was impressive. Yes, i know about his stats against Novak, but as they say, there’s a first time for everything. Fingers crossed!

First things first though…. Rafa needs to play smart and stay cool to get past Nick.

      • Hi Lorna. Djoko is a different beast. But wow, Milos is looking so sharp and crispy! He’s made it through his draw so far under the radar. I’m quite happy for him because he’s also had his physical challenged with injuries.

I certainly hope he puts up a good challenge against Novak.

  7. Run him down Rafa till he can’t stand straight… He’s all serve…
You’re all game… Stay focused and take him out of the match…

    VAMOS RAFA!!!

  8. Play with the same game intensity you brought to Carreno Busto and this match should favor you . Getting the first serve % above 70% will be crucial as holding all service games is the objective .Vamos Rafaand please beat Nick .

  9. All the best, Rafael Nadal. The hype and antics mean nothing-play your game.👏🤛🤛💪🎾❤️
