Top seed Rafael Nadal continues his Australian Open campaign when he meets 23rd seed Nick Kyrgios in the fourth round on Monday.

Date: January 27, 2020

Match time: 7 PM local time / 3 AM EST – New York, Montreal / 8 AM GMT – United Kingdom / 9 AM CET – Spain, France, Germany, Italy.  To convert to your local time, use this website.

Rafa leads the Australian 4-3 in their ATP Head2Head series. Last time the two met, our champ prevailed in a thrilling four-setter after Kyrgios was backing up from a night out at Wimbledon Village’s Dog & Fox pub.

Rafa’s coach Carlos Moya:

Every match is different. I think there’s going to be very few chances for both of them. The player who’s going to take advantage of those few chances is going to win the match, so it’ll all depend on three or four points.

Nick on playing Rafa:

I’m super excited, honestly. Playing one of the greatest tennis players on centre court at your own Slam, it’s pretty damn cool.

I’ve got a lot of time between now and then. Obviously, it’s going to be another physical battle. Nothing comes easy with him. He had a relatively routine match today, so he’s going to be feeling good. I’m looking forward to it. That’s why you play.

Rafa is looking to become the first man in the Open Era – and only the third man in history (Rod Laver and Roy Emerson) to win each major twice. He is guaranteed to remain at No. 1 in the FedEx ATP Rankings if he reaches the semi-finals at Melbourne Park.

GOOD LUCK & VAMOS RAFA!
