The French sports newspaper “L’Equipe” named Rafael Nadal as a “Champion of Champions” for 2019.

The editors of the prestigious sports daily newspaper already awarded Rafa with the title four times.

“A great honor, I am very grateful for this. Also because this prize comes from France, after Spain the most important country in my career,” said the Spanish tennis player, who won Roland Garros for the twelfth time this year and also triumphed at the US Open. Rafa ends the year as number 1 in the world. The tennis player was also named Champion of Champions in 2010, 2013 and 2017 (together with Roger Federer). Only Usain Bolt received the prize more often (five times). “It will be difficult to match Bolt. But I am also very happy that I won four times.”

Congratulations, Rafa!

  6. Of course. Rafa is THE CHAMPION.
Someone with 12 French Open titles to his name will definitely get recognition.

Rafa is the best. That’s why he is No 1. He never gives up, despite all his injuries.

    VAMOS RAFA No 1 always.
