Paris Masters Draw 2019: How tough is Rafael Nadal’s road to victory?

The Rolex Paris Masters draw is out.

Newlywed Rafael Nadal makes his return to main draw action for the first time since defeating Daniil Medvedev in the US Open final. He will be attempting to win a record-extending 36th Masters 1000 title and his first in Paris.

Our champ is joined by third seed Roger Federer in the bottom half of the draw, with top seed Novak Djokovic projected to face off against fourth seed Daniil Medvedev in the other semifinal.

Should Rafa and Roger come through their respective sections of the draw, it would be the 41st match between them.

  1. This time, I am sure, our Champion will definitely set his record by defeating either Nole or Medvedev.
    VAMOS RAFA.

  2. Rafa, never mind the draw, just take one match at a time as you always do. Make this and the Nito tournament wins as a wedding gift to your beautiful wife, especially as you have not won them before, they will be a special gift to Xisca and ofcourse your fans all around the world. We love you Rafa and always will.

  3. Suerte Rafa.. Un cuadro muy completo pero tu eres luchador campeón.. ADELANTE!!! CAMPEÓN!!!

  4. “Our Champ has never won the tournament in the French Capital..” – True. But, our champ has won THE tournament in the French Capital a record 12 times. Vamos Rafa.

  5. New haircut for Rafa. I really like it! But his wrist (hand) is still taped!!! Why is he even going to play??? I don’t like it.

    • DG, are you referring to the picture of Rafa and Roger above? If yes, that is not a current picture. Roger is in Basel.

      • DG you’re welcome.

I saw short clips of him leaving practice yesterday already in Paris, with Djokovic on the same court. I made sure I could see both wrists.

Reports are that both Carlos and Maymo are with him.

That’s not to say I am not worried but if he is 100% fit he could surely surprise himself and fans with a title or two.

I hope he is rejuvenated and full of confidence. I want him ready to win the AO.

        RAFAMAZING ROCKS

      • Looks like that picture was taken during the Laver Cup when Rafa sustained the wrist injury.

  7. I’m not holding my breath because it’s never his best part of the season, but it would be so wonderful if he could win the WTFs at last, or, failing that, Paris.

  8. I am surprised to see Stan Wawrinka in the draw. He was supposed to play Federer today but retired from Basel last night with a back injury. This gave Federer a walkover today in the QF.

And according to reports Roger has yet to confirm his participation at Paris as he is still playing Basel. He also said London is a priority.

    • Wawrinka often stages such easy path for r and often does that….helping princess r to efforlessly advance with easy match or without competing….we have seen that before…..so no surprise but once again a solid proof that RAFA NADAL IS THE ULTIMATE PLAYER ALWAYS INVOLVED IN TOP COMPETITION AND GENUILY EARNS HIS TROPHIES ….RAFA IS BY FAR THE ULTIMATE GOAT !!!!!!!:) WE LOVE YOU RAFA AND ADMIRE YOUR POWERFUL STRONG TOP TENNIS AND TOP FITNESS!!!!!!:)XOXOXOXOXO

      • What a crock.

Who will you libel next? All indications are you will be heartbroken when Roger retires because you won’t be able to spew your venom against him any longer.
