Earlier today, Rafael Nadal spoke at the offices of Spanish telecommunications company Telefonica in Madrid. Here’s what he had to say about his recovery from hand injury:
After what happened to my hand after the US Open, I was not able to practise or recover well. I need time to try to be ready for the future.
The year has been very good, despite a complicated start on a physical level. From Barcelona, I have been able to play all the tournaments I have wanted.
The US Open final was tough and the Laver Cup. I had and I have a small problem in my hand. I am recovering and I hope to fulfil the planned schedule and finish the year the way I would like after a season that has been good.

Praying he recovers and is able to play in Paris and London. Wishing him all the best for his wedding with many, many happy and healthy years ahead. If anyone deserves abundant blessings it’s you. You will always be my number one.
Rafa’s two top priorities seem to be his wedding and healing his injury. I am very pleased for him on both counts.
Rafa’s wedding is scheduled for October 19, according to the media. The inauguration of his academy was on October 19, 2016, three years ago. I wonder if that is coincidence or intentional. Without a doubt there will be more success stories for Rafa.
