    • Stan has a good chance of getting your birthday wish on his fan page, or Twitter. He may have a FB account also. Just trying to help a fan.

      RAFA ROCKS

  1. Looks like a slamming evening of tennis. All times are local (Miami) and subject to change:

    Rafa 2:30pm (14:30)
    Roger 4:00pm (16:00)
    Stan 5:00pm (17:00)
    Kyrgios 9:00pm (21:00)

    RAFA ROCKS

  2. It is nice to see so many comments! I wanted to correct a comment earlier about Rafa’s 6-0 set. This was the first bagel match in the FIRST set since 2008. Rafa has had a couple since. I especially remember the painful loss to Berdych where it was 6-0 in the second. It was a double shock since Rafa lost to him so rarely.

    • You beat me to it. Yes, the first bagel in the FIRST set since 2008. Yes, he has been served subsequent bagels of which, surprisingly, some fans are unaware. Details do matter.

Trust me, if it hadn’t been Rafa’s 1,000th match, I am sure the media would have been “all over him” about the B word. LOL

  3. Livescore and Scoreboard as of 8:30am NY time has the following info.

All times are Miami time and are subject to change:

    Rafa- 2:30pm
    Federer – 4:00pm
    Stan – 5:00pm

    RAFA ROCKS

  4. I thought this interview was fascinating. Rafa always seems so calm in these pressers, but this showed that he does not forget the many hurtful comments he receives. I well remember when I first became a Rafa fan that there were so many media statements that Rafa could not play due to his foot problems. Then it was his aggressive style of play. Rafa just keeps quiet and keeps trying. That is why he is one of the few athletes I consider a role model.

    • Yes, Rafa was very serene in this interview. I believe that Rafa was taught at a young age that his was the only opinion that counted with regard to his ability to play. I suspect Toni and the family educated him about the media. Just an annoying fly. Nothing would get in his way to stop him from playing, and until recently, not even injury. HE IS A WARRIOR.

      RAFA ROCKS

      • Margo, totally agree with you. It baffles me your comment (and some others) gets some dislikes. I really wanted to ask those people “Why?”.

  5. 3 great matched in a row tonight Rafa at 8.30pm, Roger at 10pm and Stan at 11pm(UK time, Scoreboard has them at an hour earlier ,please change your clock scoreboard) Beverley hope you are keeping safe and that cyclone Debbie hasn’t hit anywhere near you, must be very scarry. Now a cyclone Rafa wiping through the Miami Open, destroying anyone in his path to get his hands on the one trophy that eludes him would be most welcome.

    • Thank you for your concerns about cyclone Debbie, Maria. It is not near us as yet and hopefully will blow itself out before it gets this far down the coast although there have been warnings about local flooding here.
I was relieved to read in various posts that you were all right at the time of the terrorist attack over there. We live in troubled times.
Love your remark re. cyclone Rafa. I so much want him to win this one. It would send his confidence sky high just as Roger’s wins this year have done for him.
Rafa’s match starts at 5-30 a.m.to-morrow ( Wednesday ) by our time so will set the alarm for that. and watch the live commentary on tennis bytheminute. Tv coverage is virtually non-existent for tennis here except for the month of January. and for Wimbledon. Even cable TV does not give that much which is why I have never bothered with it.
I will think of your title “cyclone Rafa ” when the match starts.

      • Beverley, so glad to hear that it hasn’t come close to you, haven’t seen any updates on it as yet, hopefully it hasn’t caused to much damage and more importantly that nobody has been hurt. Your right these are very troubling time , i don’t live in London but Susie had mentioned that’s where she is based. Such a shame you don’t get to see Rafa play as much as you would like , we are very lucky in the UK as we seem to get most of the tournament’s televised , saying that my housework and others things have been neglected as i am constantly glued to the TV when the tennis is on . It’s a shame you can’t see Nick play as lots of us are warming to him , and actually looking forward to his matches , he’s behaving very well lately and not letting the side down.
Hopefully this will be the year Rafa takes home the trophy he so dearly wants , i will be keeping my fingers crossed with you. Take care and stay safe.

  6. Rafa, carpe diem. Seize the day and make it your own.👍😊😉🎾🍀

RAFA, DESTROY YOUR ON-COURT ADVERSARY. I’m betting on a win, win, win.

    RAFA ROCKS

    • As my TV “has desided” on showing football instead of tennis tonight – hmpff!! 😤 It seems like I’m up for reruns tomorrow and must follow up on “ByTheMinute” (Thanx again Margo and Beverley ) 🌻😊😉

      VAMOS RAFA!! 🎾💪🏼❤️🍀

  7. Morning fellow Rafa fans ☀️😊 Are we on for a Raf match later? – I sure am, can’t wait 😍🤗
VAMOS CHAMP! – Wanna see alot of that faboulos fistpumping of yours! 😅🎾💪🏼 Good luck ❤️🍀

    • Hi Rafantastic, I think you may enjoy a short clip on Rafa’s forehand. If you Google “Speed and Spin Nadal’s Lethal Forehand” a link to a YouTube video will pop up.

      RAFA ROCKS

      • Thanx Margo 😃
        That’s amazing 🎾💨🌀

        VAMOS RAFA! 🎾💪🏼❤️
“May the force be with you” 😊😉🍀😘

      • Rafantastic, I had a feeling you would like it. I, too, thought it was amazing because you don’t see those intricate and nuanced motions in real time. I loved it.

I must confess I found it by chance, but what a great find. His racquet and hand movements are just unbelievable. I hope he does a replay today.

        RAFA ROCKS

      • Margo – just out of curiosity 😉 where are you from – UK? 🇬🇧

      • I have no problem with anyone asking me that, unless they’re from the US. LOL
Born, raised, and educated in the USA.

Just a very quick mention, I can’t wait until the excavation of the Fregerslev Viking site is finished. Now that’s AWESOME!!!!!

        RAFA IS AWESOME, TOO

      • Ok 😊🇺🇸 Exiting, never visited the USA, but would like to some day 👍🏻 I quess It’s around noon at your place now or? (Depends were in the US you’re living ofcourse, I’m I right?) – Here in DK it’s dinnertime 😋 Rafas match is annouced to begin at 20.30 (DK time) 🤗

Yes, I agree with you about the viking find. – Very interesting. We have a lot of interesting historical sites here in DK actually. I quite like history myself. Experienced Rome once when I was younger – Amazing! 👏🏻

By the way found this on Tennis News earlier “Rafael Nadal – Top 10 Horrifying Defensive Skills” – now that’s amazing too. Check it out 🎾💪🏼😊

        VAMOOOS RAFA!! ❤️🍀🌟

      • Yaayeeee…so far DK time correct. Remember, it could change. Does yesterday ring a bell? LOL

I’m in NYC, so same time as Rafa…LOL

I, too, am a history buff. From what I know of Rome it is amazing. Maybe one day. Like Rafa, I love being home. I have traveled within the US and always manage to become homesick. Rafa handles it a lot better than I.

Will look up your Rafa Top 10 as soon as I get a chance. Thanks for that.

        RAFA ROCKS

      • LOL Margo – Yes how could I forget… 🤣 Think I’m about to get a grip on the times 😂.

I don’t travle that much either. I’m a “homegirl” 😉 My family and I mostly go on vacation and trips around DK. – Much admit, that all that horrific terror and war around the world scares me and it decreases the desire to travel, unfortunately 😧 It’s so sad with all that strife around the world 😔🙏🏻☮️❣️

      • NOOO!! They got to be kiddin’. Rafa vs. Mahut is about to start and the channel on which I usually watch tennis, is now showing football ⚽️😳

Arrgh 😖 Must see if I can find a streamingsite to watch tennis 🎾 Does anyone have a suggestion?

    • Sioux, that fist pump of his gets lots of media coverage when it happens. I love when he does that. To me it is an indication of him feeling great about a shot. I hope we see many more pumps in 2017. And thanks for bringing up Rafa.

      RAFA ROCKS

      • I know Margo…I see other players doing it & it’s just not the same… Only one that comes close is Lleyton Hewitt … Rafa & Lleyton share the same passion for tennis! Plus they both look cute when they snarl! I better watch out Susana will be after me about “what’s looks got to do with it” ( Sounds like the Tina Turner song What’s love got to do with it)!

      • HAHAHA I find this hilarious! I think he’s deliberately imitating Rafa. I’m definitely warming up to Kyrgios. Great match against Ivo.

      • Nick is certainly a complex player, but when he is on it is compelling tennis. He sent out a very nice tweet on Rafa’s 1000th match. You could see the fan support he had yesterday.

      • Thank you Vy , this clip was a good tonic first thing in the morning, , so happy to hear he had won and also Zverev. Going to be some great matches on tonight , let’s hope Rafa can win his and set a happy vibe so we can enjoy the matches that follow.

  8. Just seen zverev smile again after beating isner. Sorry vy and maria – I must get to bed. Raffy already asleep. Goodnight to you all – until tomorrow where I hope the match for rafa goes smoothly – I quite like Mahut though. Special goodnight to Holly Berry and golam

  9. So both Rafa and Fed play tomorrow. Rafa plays after the 1pm WTA match and Fed plays right after Rafa. See you guys! 😀

  10. So Nick wins, Maria and Susie :D. Congratulations to him. He shows that he wants to win so much and is able to pull himself together quickly after some lapses.

He was even GRUNTING like Rafa at 5-2 tiebreak in the 3rd set LOL.

The commie at skysport was pulling quite hard for him to the point of being rude to Isner at times though.

  11. That’s me done for the night, hopefully Nick will find a way through and not get negative. Night Susie/ Raffy 🐱 and Vy, same time (maybe) , same place tomorrow and don’t forget to bring your nerves of steel, you just might need them 😑😴

  12. It’s kind of funny to watch 4 big servers at the same time :D. Zverev is losing the TB… Oh dear such a beautiful lob from him.

    • I thought those were the two best matches yesterday and very entertaining. The winners play again today as does Roger.

  13. Stunning PS from Nick.

Speaking of Karlovic, anyone remember the match between Rafa and Karlovic, Queens 08? Rafa came back from one set down to win the match where all the sets ended in tiebreak 67 76 76. He ended the match with a rare ace of his own, giving Karlovic a taste of his own medicine (35 IIRC!) then had a BIG smile on his face. 😀

  14. Don’t much like a zverev either. Too scowly and surly. Saw him smile once at dominic thiem and his whole face lit up so there is potential.

    • Susie he actually has a lovely smile. His face brightens up when he smiles. I’ve watched some of his pressers/interviews and he seems nicer there than he is on the court. He and his brother are also quite articulate.

Zverev and Isner is starting the tiebreak in the first set. I get to watch multiple matches thanks to the streaming thing, Susie :-).

      • First of all, no one will ever replace Rafa as my favorite of all time, but I am very high on Sascha. I like both Zverev brothers. They are very close and it is fun to see them root for each other. Mischa was suffering during the match yesterday. They both work very hard. Rafa has a killer smile, but he rarely smiles during a match.

      • The family is very close knit. They travel together, parents and boys; they root for each other, they are happy for each other’s successes, and suffer together through their defeats. Sascha pushed Mischa to get back to tennis. A great story. Let’s just hope they keep losing to Rafa.

Thanks for your positive remarks about the Zverev brothers. Tired of the ad nauseam negative remarks about other players.

  15. Will the real nick Kyrgios stand up please or has he been abducted by aliens, I’d like to see a little bit of his personality .
