Top seed Rafael Nadal defeated Aussie Lleyton Hewitt 6-1, 6-3 in the second round at Sony Open in Miami. Rafa’s victory sets up a third-round meeting against Denis Istomin.
After Rafa’s third round loss in Indian Wells, it was a relief to see him back on court and ready to tackle a strong opponent such as Hewitt. Since Rafa has no points to defend, any win will add points to his ranking (based on the level of the round).
