Sergio Ramos, Jorge Lorenzo and other stars show their support to Rafa Nadal

It’s been a tough day for us. Our emotions have gone from optimism, to concern, to worry, to sadness. But it’s just another bad day, as Rafa said. There will be good days ahead, many of them, and hopefully very few bad ones. Whatever happens, our love for Rafa will always be a constant.

Today, instead of our usual Rafa Roundup, we’ve decided to do something a little more positive. We’ve all either seen the match, or read or heard about it, and we certainly don’t need read any more analysis of it. We’re simply going to present to you the outpouring of well wishes that came in for Rafa after the final.

In case we’ve missed any names, do let us know in the comments below, and we will update our post. For now, let’s just celebrate this wonderful man that we love, and be happy that we have him in our lives. Vamos!

  4. Rafa, you are truly a champion, a classy act of finishing the game to show Stan that he deserved to win. Not retiring, you gave Stan to cheer that he beat you and did not win because you retired, what a man of honor, very dignified, humble young man and a role model in all sports ..please get better, Rafa, tennis world needs player like you, any tournament is not the same without you …hope to see you back soon in your best !! We love you, Rafa, the entire world does !!

  5. YOU WILL ALWAYS BE A TRUE CHAMPION IN THE HEARTS OF MILLIONS OF PEOPLE WHO LOVES YOU FOR WHO YOU ARE, WIN OR LOOSE. YOU HAVE SHOWED YOUR TRUE FEELINGS IN FRONT OF PEOPLE AROUND YOU…THAT’S WHY A GUY LIKE YOU IN THE SPORTS THAT YOU LOVED WILL GIVE A VERY GOOD EXAMPLE TO YOUR FELLOW ATHLETS ON HOW TO BECOME A GOOD SPORTSMAN….BRAVO!!!!AND WELL DONE EVEN YOU DONT LIFT THE TROPHY FOR US YOU WILL ALWAYS BE A WINNER….
    .

  7. You continue to prove you are a champion even in defeat! You are an amazing role model for all! Vamos!!!

  8. Love rafa soooo much. He such an amazing humble person who totally inspirational to everyone. Not once wanting to take away from stan his win. He won all our hearts. Just hope he gets better real soon. Miss him already xx

  9. +CONGRATULATIONS TO RAFA FOR BEING THE PERSON HE IS. YOU DID NOT LIFT THE TROPHY THIS TIME, BUT I FEEL YOU WILL LIFT MANY MORE. I KNOW STAN PLAYED WELL DURING THE TOURNAMENT, AND HE WAS THE ONE WHO LIFTED THE TROPHY, BUT I THINK HE SHOWED LACK OF CLASS WHEN HE WAS SCREAMING AT THE CHAIR UMPIRE AS RAFA WAS RECEIVING MEDICAL TREATMENT. I FEEL AS IF HE HAD NO CONCERN FOR AN OPPONENT WHO WAS SUFFERING,AND NEED MEDICAL TREATMENT. I DON’T THINK RAFA WOULD HAVE DONE THAT IF IT WAS STAN RECEIVING MEDICAL TREATMENT. I’M SORRY IF STAN FANS DONOT LIKE THIS COMMENT, BUT IN ALL GOOD CONSCIENCE, I CANNOT CONGRATULATE HIM. MAYBE I AM WRONG, IF I AM, I APOLOGIZE. GET THE REST YOU TRULY DESERVE RAFA. I HOPE YOU ARE PAIN FREE VERY SOON. GOD BLESS YOU. LOVE, MARYLYNN.

    • Totaly agree with you stan was well out of order and we know rafa would not carry on the way wawrinka did he only let himself down rafa was gracious as ever love the man x

    • I totally agree with you. Rafael would have been concerned and would not accuse someone of taking an injury time out as Stan did. RAFA always shows behavior that is an example of how other players should behave and what youth should emulate. I cannot congratulate Stan either. He throws and smashes his racquet, which is totally unacceptable behavior. He won because Rafa was injured from the beginning. I am also disappointed in the crowd for booing Rafael and for cheering so strongly when Stan won points when Rafa could not even move toward the ball. Very poor sportsmanship. I am very sorry for Rafael but God works in strange ways sometimes. God had good plans for Rafa. Perhaps his loss is for all of us to learn from Rafael the attitude that we should all have, other players, and our youth. I just wish the good guy, Rafael Nadal, would have come out on top. He did not with the trophy, but he certainly came out on top with class, sportsmanship, attitude, and grit. God bless Rafael Nadal.

  10. Thanks for being sensitive and thoughtful, hence your post. Lifting my spirits, but still crying over today. Trying to be Rafa-like and say, “This too shall pass….”

    • Really sorry for Rafael very humble in defeat the mark of a true champion you will win many more trophies good luck
