Rafael Nadal defeated his longtime friend Richard Gasquet of France to advance to the semifinals of the BNP Paribas Masters in Paris. He will next play the winner of the quarterfinal match between David Ferrer and Tomas Berdych.

Despite a few sticky spots, Rafa looked great on court today, covering the court well and taking the first set 6-4 with relative ease. He broke Gasquet twice but got broken once. He seemed to be on fire in the second set, leading into it at 4-0 before Gasquet got on board with a game. He took the set at 6-1.
Rafa is on fire. It’s a pleasure to watch him play. VAMOS!!
