The latest Emirates ATP singles rankings are out, and Rafael Nadal has moved back into the top spot for the first time since the week of June 11, 2011.
“I am [at the top] and it’s something special for me,” said Rafa. “I’m enjoying the situation. I’m playing one of the best seasons of my career and probably one of the more emotional ones, too.
Indeed, Rafa has a large lead in the Race to London and has outperformed all his opponents this year. Having finished year end No. 1 twice before, he is looking to secure his third year end No. 1 position three years after his last, which will make him the first man to do so.
On to another victory in Shanghai! Vamos!
