Rafael Nadal defeats Benjamin Becker in Cincinnati R2

Rafael Nadal defeated Benjamin Becker of Germany 6-2, 6-2 in 1 hour 18 min to reach round 3 at the Western and Southern Open in Cincinnati on Wednesday. Rafa extends his hard court winning streak to 11 matches and remains undefeated on the surface this year.

After winning the toss and opting to receive, Rafa got an early break in the first set by breaking Becker in the first game. From then on, he displayed excellent moves, adjusting well to the fast surface. He won 95% of his first serves, 67% of his second serves, hit 26 winners, and had 13 unforced errors.  Judging from his performance, Rafa is ready bite yet another trophy this weekend. Rafa’s next opponent is Grigor Dimitrov of Bulgaria, currently ranked No. 29 in singles.
