  1. Rafa does have a shot to win against Djokovic. Rafa has been battle tested. Djokovic’s level isn’t there yet on clay this year. Good luck, Rafa!

    • It will be very tough for Rafa having to face Djokovic in only the Second Round. Djokovic will be the favourite. Let’s hope that Rafa can play without pressure and without pain.
For UK Residents, the best TV Coverage is to be found on the Discovery + Subscription Chanel. They cover the tennis match by match and you can watch them when you want. (Rather like Amazon Prime used to cover the ATP and WTA Tournaments). Excellent Coverage. They also cover the other Olympic Sports too of course.

  2. Is it possible that Rafa will have both doubles and Djokovic matches on Monday?

Rafa will of course be the under dog against Joker and maybe that allows Rafa to play free and easy. They each have injury issues and I’m sure Rafa will get in Joker’s head. Anything could happen.

    Go Rafa!

    • I checked the Olympics website and Nadal / Djokovic is the second game on Philippe-Chatrier tomorrow, but it doesn’t show Nadal / Alvarez playing on any of the courts tomorrow. They list other double matches for tomorrow but not theirs, so it looks like Rafa will only have to play singles tomorrow.

  3. All the comments are right on target. Definitely none of us wants to see him reinjured. Pleasure to watch him with the torch and with Carlos. Good luck Rafa

  4. Pull out of the singles. We know you will as Djokovic is too strong now….

  5. I hope Rafa gets 24 hours to rest before he plays Djokovic next. Not to mention Rafa has doubles with Alcaraz too. They need to allow Rafa time to recover after these long matches.

  6. Very happy that you won Rafa. 💪
Look after your body. No more injuries please.
All the best for your future matches. May the force be with you!

    ❤️❤️🍀🍀💪💪

  7. Rafa looked happy and relieved after his hard fought win. I really hope that he manages his energy levels well, to give him the best chance of gold in the doubles.

  8. Rafa gets to play Djokovic next. It will be one match at a time but Rafa: please prioritize health and chances at a medal (doubles with alcaraz, singles if the body is fit, no more injuries). Vamos!

  9. Congrats, Rafa. Primary concern is that you are healthy. All the best in the matches
ahead; coverage of tennis has not been impressive-we are with you regardless!💪🎾🥰

  10. I could only watch the score on-line as the tv networks here (Canada) were covering other sports and matches. How was Rafa looking on court? He seemed to stream-roll through the first set, then Fucsovics seem to put up more of a fight in the second and Rafa seemed stronger in the third.

    • He did pretty well. Looked really good 1st set. A couple mistakes by Rafa and Fuskovics picked up a bit set 2, but overall Rafa looked sharp. Leg seems to be fine.

I think he can beat Djokovic!

      • Glad to hear that!! Djokovic is definitely beatable this year and I agree Rafa on clay can do it!! Looking forward to this match!

    • If you download MAX €7.99 per month you have access to all matches and all events at Olympics. Diana

      • Thanks – Actually the national network here really has great coverage of the games (for free), you can watch all olympics sports either on tv or online. They covered the Nadal / Alvarez match yesterday, so maybe decided to show other tennis today. I think its’s likely that they’ll show the Nadal / Djokovic match.
