The latest reports suggest that Rafael Nadal is gearing up for his comeback and is set to travel to Australia after the Christmas break. This marks a significant development in his journey back to competitive play, as he recently announced his readiness to return to the tennis circuit after months of uncertainty and rehabilitation.

Spanish radio Cadena SER reported that Rafa is scheduled to travel to Australia post-Christmas, where he will intensify his comeback preparations. Prior to the Grand Slam event, he is expected to participate in a warm-up tournament, a crucial step to regain match fitness and confidence. If all progresses as planned, Rafa will be back in action on the prestigious courts of the Australian Open.

Additionally, sources reveal that Rafa will visit his academy in Kuwait to further elevate the intensity of his training and potentially participate in some events. This strategic approach showcases the meticulous planning and dedication that Rafa is investing in his comeback, highlighting his commitment to returning at the highest level of the sport.

The journey doesn’t stop there. After the stint in Kuwait, our champ will return to his homeland, Mallorca, before embarking on the final leg of his comeback journey to Australia.

I wish all these maybe things were true but….

Nothing is really set in stone. If Uncle Toni or Rafa himself makes a statement, then I’d take that seriously.

  1. I know his Academy is in Kuwait, but why to go there and then back home? 🤔🤔 Maybe it has to be something with earlier made sponsor obligations.

  2. The warm up 250 event before he won his last Australian open was, I recall, Melbourne summer set??? In Melbourne park. Summer set two I believe. Great practice for the AO. Playing on the exact same surface as the Australian open.

  3. I can’t wait for the day I see Rafa on the tennis court playing in a tournament. I want him to be fully healed and prepared to face these next gen players!
