Rafa begins Tuesday evening EST at 7:00 pm center court vs. Millman, along with the lower half of the drawer playing throughout the day , Thiem, Tsis, Zverev, Kyrgios, etc and the women like Osaka, and Halep etc…
So Tuesday… it is Rafa’s day… where he will start his journey one match at a time, focused and on point …with his on on the prize…

Today, it is gorgeous in New York… Weather has broken and we are looking at sunshine and mid-70″s with a forecast of mid to upper 70’s all week with low humidity. Perfect weather for the players and spectators. Today, Rafa is scheduled to practice for 3 hours… It’s broken up into ( 3 ) 1 hour sessions starting with an hour practice with Thiem and then the other 2 practices are throughout the day with Rafa and his team. He is not overdoing it… It’s crunch time and all the top players are scheduling themselves for as long as possible throughout the day… Btw, Rafa did a pre-tournament press conference where he was asked about the draw to which he replied that he was happy the US Open goes by the rankings (and so are we, unlike Wimbledon).

Is there a more patient, polite man than Rafa? I know this journo was ok, but the constant intrusion into his private time must be wearing. Bravo, Rafa! You are always so cool. Love you.
Agree completely Michele and when Mery is with him she is clearly uncomfortable with the spotlight. Plus there are the fans sticking cameras in his face without asking permission. If you ever see a selfie with someone where Rafa isn’t smiling it is because they didn’t say please. Rafa is quoted as saying that all he and his partner want is to lead a calm and anonymous life which thankfully they are able to have in Mallorca. That is their way to achieve happiness.
