After a short vacation in the Bahamas, Rafael Nadal is now in New York City where he is preparing for the last Grand Slam of the season. Here are a few photos from today’s practice session at the US Open.

Wow… This is an amazing draw for Rafa…. It’s about time he caught a break….
Djokovic, Federer…Medvedev… Nishikori , Fognini, Wawrinka, Raonic, Goffin, Anderson … all on top…
Tsis and Thiem, Kyrigios, Agut ..on the upper level of Rafa’s bracket…. .
He should breeze through to the quarters and by then he will be ready to take on everyone…
So he has Zverev…Verdasco…Cilic….so??? They’re professional tennis players…. He has to play someone…
As long as Rafa is healthy and focused… no strains, no pains… our boy has clear shot to the finals…
That’s how I see it…
.
3 more days and counting till I see that handsome guy named Rafa!!! 🙂
I hope Rafa will be the one lifting the trophy like he did in 2017, you will be there supporting him in person once more and I will be home cheering this time👌❤️
Section 1 top seeds are Djoker and Medvedev
Section 2 Federer and Nishikori
Section 3 Tsitsipas and Thiem
Section 4 Alex and Rafa
Rafa may meet Verdasco, Cilic and Isner in the first week, his first round opponent is Millman of Australia who beat Roger in the fourth round last year. No easy draw but I think Rafa’s is ok😁 He will not meet Kyrgios unless both made the semis. Roger and Djoker are both in the top half. Wawrinka and Medvedev are in Djoker section, both have said they prefer playing Djoker over Rafa and Roger……🤔
I think Wawrinka and Medvedev believe they have a better chance against Djoker over Rafa and Roger because they both think their style of play is similar to Djoker’s. Anyway, I am not sure if the world no 1 is happy to see these two in his section though?😅

Mimi, probably not. LOL. I hope they stick around long enough to give him the blues.

Just seen the draw. Ouch!!! Potentially, Rafa faces quite a few big hitters, especially in his first quarter. Hoping that he’s sharp out of the blocks.
Sooooooo grateful for Rafa’s good body health this season. Hope and pray he is doing everything possible to stay healthy. We would LOVE to see you win this, Rafa!
Nevertheless, we are always with you, no matter what happens. Hope you get the best draw possible!
Oh that smile! It makes me so happy. I bet Rafa would be out there all day and all night practising by torch light if he had his way (ha ha) but Carlos is probably the one to call time.
I’m confident that he’ll be able to handle whatever the draw throws at him. Stay healthy and play smart champ!
BUENA SUERTE Rafa for this Slam. Am with you all the way to no. 19. Stay healthy and do what you do best..show your heels to the lot of them along the way.
Vamos Rafa.🇪🇦🇪🇦👑👑❤☘
According to Chris McKendry Rafa spent hours on court yesterday in several hard training sessions. His work ethic is second to none. On Monday his clothes were soaked to the skin. When his practice was over he sat in the shade watching Roger who came in after him. Maybe he wanted to talk to him in person about player council matters?
RR… I would say you are probably right… The player council meeting is this week in NY and prior to the meeting it would seem logical that Rafa and Roger would get together to discuss certain issues and the imput they want to put forth. It’s amazing as Rafa and Roger are adversaries on the court and yet the bond of friendship that has grown and grown between these two throughout the years is so evident amd special to see.
Rafa… sweating it out on court… nice and hot…. just what he likes!!
Looking forward to seeing you play in U.S. open. We love you Rafa and just want you to try your best. Naturally we would love you to win and lift that trophy but it isn’t the most important thing. You being injury free is the most important. Love you and praying for you. 😘😘😘😘😘😍😍😍😍😍❤❤❤
Congrats to him on winning the Roger’s Cup in Montreal a few weeks ago.
Rest up, regain your thoughts. Now focus on the next one.
Good luck in the US Open and hopefully in winning your 4th GS title. It is long overdue buddy.

Thanks Mimi. I posted the ATP draw on the wrong page [previous RNF post]. Yours is better than mine anyway.
Medvedev doesn’t want another bagel. After he lost to Rafa, he said he “never had a chance.” I can’t blame the guy for not wanting to face Rafa again.
GO GET “EM RAFA
