Match time: Rafa is second match on Court Suzane Lenglen. Around 12.30 PM local time / 6.30 AM EDT –  New York, Montreal /  11.30 AM BST – United Kingdom / 12.30 PM CEST – Spain, France, Germany, Italy / 8.30 PM AEST – Melbourne. To convert to your local time, use this website.

Rafa and Yannick Maden have not played each other in the past.

Rafa on playing Maden:

Well, being honest, I saw play Yannick last year in Munich against Alexander Zverev. So I remember a little bit of that.

And then today with YouTube you can find things. I saw some highlights of his matches, and you have an idea.

Of course is different when you never played before. You can create an idea about what he does, no?

And that’s what I did. Just research a little bit on YouTube and with some videos and for after tomorrow gonna be the same for me personally.

But at end of the day, for me is about play well myself and knowing a little bit the opponent helps.

Our champ improved to 87-2 in the year’s second major after dropping six games in his first-round victory over another German qualifier in Yannick Hanfmann. He is 14-0 in second-round matches at Roland Garros.

The 29-year-old German is ranked No. 114, and has a career record of 7-13.

GOOD LUCK & VAMOS RAFA!

  2. Carlos Moya has laid out what Rafa was experiencing on his return to competition at Monte-Carlo.

After an injury Rafa usually rebounds mentally after a few days but this last injury, at Indian Wells, had him quite despondent and this lasted into the clay season. Carlos said Rafa had lost his motivation and desire to play; something he has never seen before. He was prepared neither physically nor mentally.

It’s a lengthy interview but well worth the read. After reading this interview, I believe were it not for Carlos’s and the rest of the team’s ability to understand Rafa and know how to help him heal his psychological wounds Rafa may have just started fishing.

For Spanish speaking fans you can read it on TennisWorld, Carlos Moya: Nadal Perdió la motivación y las Ganas de Jugar

    THANK YOU CARLOS AND TEAM

    RAFAMAZING ROCKS

  3. I think its much to do about nothing especially If you say they all play 1 match on Lenghen…then this is his one match… He will be back on Chatrier after this. My feeling is with Roger there this year, they’ve made a big deal of it.
I will tell you this never happens to Rafa at the US Open… He is center court all the time, every match but…we have day and night sessions which accommodates players like himself. Roland doesn’t.

At the end of the day, he will wow the crowd once again with a win as he continues his
climb to victory at Roland Garros and that’s what he wants and that’s what we want!

    VAMOS RAFA!!!

  4. Rafa has said he likes Lenglen, that it’s a good court and that Chatrier “is bigger than it needs to be.” He plays a match or two over there every year and it’s never been a problem for him. So Vamos Rafa wherever!

  5. Rafa good luck champ vamosssssssssss you can do it love your fans for ever 💪💪💪💪🎾🎾🎾🎾😘😘😘😘❤️❤️❤️❤️🌎🌎🌎🌎🎾🎾💪💪😘😘❤️❤️👍👍❤️❤️❤️❤️🌎🌎🌎🌎🌎

  6. As a couple of you have said, Rafa usually plays one match on Lenglen every year. RG does not do night matches. I am more concerned that he got the second match which falls during lunchtime for the French. Nothing is more sacred for them.

    • It really annoys me. The court’s half-empty till about half past 3 every day. How long does it take to have lunch?! Couldn’t people just grab a sandwich, for one day? It’s very frustrating when so many people would absolutely love to have the privilege of watching the top players. Never happens at any of the other Grand Slam events. I know Wimbledon starts later in the day, but Chatrier never fills up until the third match – although tomorrow may be different, with Tsonga on 2nd.

  7. Rafa plays a match on Lenglen each year, all the top players do. He might even appreciate its familiarity? Good luck tomorrow Rafa, vamos!!

    • I agree with you. RAFA, 2nd seed and eleven-time champion should play on Philippe-Chatrier, no respect indeed.

      Good luck to Rafa!🍀❤️

  8. What a scandal! Why does Rafa N.2 and RG 11 victories play early on court Lenglen whereas all lower ranked than him play on the biggest court in late afternoon? Kyrgios was right when he said that this tournament “sucks”

  9. I appreciate that no-one can be on Chatrier all the time, but I see they’ve put Rafa, the 11 times champion, on Lenglen, and Roger on Chatrier … and, in the last round, Rafa got a morning match, when the court’s always half empty because people seem more interested in their dinner than the tennis, and Nole got the third match. Just saying …
