World Cup winner Iker Casillas suffered a heart attack on Wednesday morning, Porto have confirmed to Portuguese media.
Rafael Nadal was among the leading figures to send his best wishes to Casillas, posting on Twitter:

The former Spain international, who now plies his trade with FC Porto after spending the rest of his career at Real Madrid, is understood to be ‘out of danger’ after being urgently taken into care this morning.
Casillas won five LaLiga titles and three Champions Leagues during 16 decorated seasons with Real Madrid, while he was Spain’s last line of defence during their golden period – winning Euro 2008 and Euro 2012 either side of the 2010 World Cup.
UPDATE: Posting on Twitter, Casillas moved to ensure fans knew he was now in a stable condition and on the mend.
