Rafael Nadal will replace Andy Murray as the new world No. 1 next Monday (21 August) as Roger Federer has withdrawn from the Western & Southern Open in Cincinnati citing a back problem.

Our champ missed out on an opportunity to become No. 1 in Montreal when he was beaten by Denis Shapovalov.
Rafa, who has spent 141 weeks at No. 1 in his career, last held the ranking in 2014.
Being in the top is not an easy task what with the injuries etc.But our CHAMP works so hard and he deserves to be that NUMERO UNO again!!Vamos Rafa. Will be rooting 4 u again 2nite in Vancouver,CanadaGood luck
!
you give us so much joy and some time sadness but you persevere: so good on you VAMOS RAFA
