Wimbledon 2017: Rafael Nadal practices on middle Sunday [PHOTOS]
There is no play on Middle Sunday at Wimbledon, but there is practice.
Here are some lovely photos from Rafael Nadal’s practice session!

All the best for today’s match regardless of weather!
My advice is repetitive – good serves, good length shots, make opponent run, vary pace and shots and not too much respect. Killer instinct and clever thinking! But you know all that. So …. .
Hope to see you at the net often too. It’s been wonderful so far!!!
Ahh these are really nice and clear photos and I agree, the one with rafa under the swirling black cloud, is absolutely stunning. Rafa looks happy and relaxed. Wishing him all the best for todays match – it should be a good one.
Settled in for an exciting afternoon of tennis, just hoping the rain holds off until Rafa has played. I feel confident that Rafa has this one , and over the past week retired players and commentator’s have said time and time again that Rafa is playing the best tennis of his career, so how can he possibly lose , and I’m sure the UK would love to see a Rafa/ Andy semi final at Wimbledon.
Good luck Rafa
Looking forward to this one Maria. I’m hoping for straight sets. Cross everything!!

Vamos Rafa. Think positive tonight – he may be very strong on grass, but you’ve been there, done that, n won the Cup twice on this same Grass … which he hasn’t!!! I know you will give it your best short my boy, as usual. God bless you Rafa. Your Aussie Abuela Nan Shirley. 🐂⏳👑⛵️😀😊😇
I hope That Rafa gets the job done in straight sets to shut all the hype created by the media that Rafa always play bad against big serve & volley players….
Show them your A game and break your record of 10 straight matches without losing a set by winning this one😃😄😅
Vamosssssss Rafa!!!!!

Well done on reaching the second week Rafa! Your hard work has paid off. Yesterday a BBC commentator said the first set with Karen was the best quality tennis of the tournament so far, and although I couldn’t watch it (how does BBC get exclusive rights to a slam and not provide full match replays? 😠) I can certainly imagine how that would be true.
That photo of Rafa under the grey clouds is stunning. He can weather all the storms next week. There are some tough opponents, but as Rafa said himself, that is to be expected. Stay strong Rafa! Vamos!!
Lastly, if like mine your brain is completely fried from thinking about what might happen between now and next Sunday, something a little more frivolous – if you haven’t seen the short interview from after Friday’s match on the BBC (not the presser), do find it on Youtube. As well as tennis, Rafa talks about food shopping 🙂 TV presenter Clare Balding is completely smitten and who can blame her?!
Rafa is definitely in the running for the the Wimbledon title . If he keeps on serving big and stays with the the aggressive volley game , Rafa may very well surprise the tennis world .
I am praying that Rafa will beat Mueller handily so that he will have confidence for the semis .
Vamos Rafa !
LOVE seeing you in Wimbledon whites, practicing!!! Here’s wishing you ANOTHER WIMBLEDON VICTORY to add to your remarkable tennis career!!! VAMOS, RAFA!!!!!! ADELANTE!!!!
