  2. Just saw F do his hand up in anger wonder again……that is when he looses and he expresses anger….and across the court Rafa can not make out what it is all about….In the past two matches, that made Rafa wonder why is F angry? and Then that split second F ‘s odd looser behavior pauses Rafa focus. Just now moments ago, again, F hit a clear outs, two in a raw, waived his hands and looked “AS IF puzzled” and Rafa concern, was looking over AND wondering BUT THIS TIME RAFA remained focused and did not let that opponent BS through him off his game. KUDOS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! : ) VAMOS SWEETHEART!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! : )
A few known players play such settle BS across the net to try and disturb the flew of their winning opponent, implying poor sportsmanship and play silly looser tactics…. THE GOOD NEWS IS RAFA you are getting so good at overlooking all that BS and keep staying with your strong focused GAME. Lots of love & happiness sweetheart & keep going!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! : )

  4. Hi Susie , likewise . Don’t really care who wins but I’m thinking it will be an entertaining match. I guess we have to try and come to terms with the rising new stars and their egos and realise the likes of Rafa are a dying breed. The commentator’s seem to harp on that we need these type of players to get the next generation interested in watching tennis. One thing for sure I’m expecting a lot of swearing😷 and a few broken rackets 😬tonight Lol

  5. Hi Maria. I’ve tried to get behind Sasha (A. Zverev) but I find him far too surly and scowly. I hope that will change as he gets older especially as he is apparently the next big thing

  6. . Verdasco has been playing some great tennis of late, even getting to the final in Dubai against Andy. One thing for certain a Spaniard is leaving the tournament tonight ,but it won’t be Rafa. Looking forward to the Kyrgios/ Zverev match due to be played tonight at 9.30 . Should we a good match with two little hotheads .Good luck Rafa

  7. Impatiently waiting for the match. I’m hoping Rafa puts on his A game as Fernando can be a tricky customer! Crossing fingers for the right result today. And it’s very hot in Indian Wells again – I’m constantly amazed at the level of fitness of all these guys.

  8. Sorry Rafa, it seems that it was Bautista-Agut who had to retire the doubles and not Fernando.

I went to a Spanish source and found that Bautista-Agut had some physical problem going on that forced him to retire.

LOOKING FORWARD TO SEEING YOU WIN YOUR MATCH vs FERNANDO (A cutie-pie. Andy’s mom thinks so too.)

    RAFA ROCKS

    • Almost all of the Spanish players are gorgeous! Marc & David are not as tall but Adorable just the same! Judy Murray Is in love with Feliciano Lopez… She loves his hair and stunning blue eyes ! Lopez said that when he is with Rafa all the girls are screaming for Rafa and not him!

      • Sioux, I was trying to convince Andy’s mom that it is Verdasco she adores, and not “deliciano Feliciano,” as she calls him. You let the cat out of the bag. LOL Now I have to find another tactic.

I have to agree with you abou male Spaniards, at least the ones I’ve met here in NY. And the Italians. And the French. LOL

        RAFA ROCKS

  9. SOMETHING IS GOING ON!!!

    KYRGIOS/ZIMONJIC just got a walkover vs VERDASCO/BAUTISTA-AGUT

RAFA, JUST MAYBE, YOU WILL GET A REST TODAY!!!!

    RAFA ROCKS

  10. YIKES……Lucky loser, Nishioka (70) beat Berdych on Monday. He will face Stan in the next round.

RAFA WATCH THOSE FLYING UNDER THE RAFAR

    RAFA ROCKS

    • YIKES… “Under the radar,” another Freudian slip…. OMG

RAFA WATCH THOSE FLYING UNDER THE RADAR

  11. Rafa has to play at noon again. Fed usually gets most of the night matches (he usually has to play one or two day matches then the rest is at night which suits him petfectly). Verdasco is playing well but a concentrated Rafa can win the match quickly then “revenge” the AO loss this time. Don’t get me wrong, I really like Fed and normally I don’t mind too much when Rafa loses to him (except Hamburg and W07) but it’s different with AO17.

Now hard court or not, Rafa REALLY needs to have a win over both Fed and Novak this year. It’s been such a long time since his last win over his two biggest rivals who he used to beat. If he can manange this time, it’s going to boost his confidence immensely and the rest will follow naturally.

Good luck and VAMOS Rafa! 🍀🎾💪🏻🏆

    • I wonder why Rafa has been playing all early-afternoon matches, when it’s the hottest. Aren’t the top seeds supposed to rotate their schedules?

      • Only Mr. Federer gets Cart Blanche! But I read that’s how the draw came out… Even the tennis gods shine on Roger! You think they could adjusted and make it more fair.

      • Sioux, call me dense but why is Roger playing mostly in better weather?

        RAFA, GO TALK TO ELLIS!!!

  12. Rafa all the best for your game against Verdasco.

    Love and prayers,

  13. Sorry, my IPad went haywire! If Rafa stays in form with no injuries, he has Fernando beaten, in my opinion. From memory, Rafa had injuries each time Fernando beat him. I was a bit worried on reading last week that Rafa was not well for a couple of days? So glad the Doubles is over for him – love to see the game n how Mr Tomic behaved? Big mistake Rafa. Vamos my boy. Go Rafa Go. God bless you. Your Aussie Abuela Nan Shirley. xxx ⏳👑🎈🎈😀😇😊

    • I have to say that Tomic behaved very well while playing doubles with Rafa! I see though how he doesn’t have much passion or enthusiasm for tennis and he is quite boring to watch. Pat Cash says he just tanks whenever he wants too. It’s Quite a contrast from our boy Rafa who plays With a fiery passion and love of tennis! It’s very very hot in Southern California, the weather is changing so much all over the world and this is very unusual…I heard that it was 120° on the court so better that Rafa can concentrate on his single matches!

      • Yes Sioux, he sure did. My thinking is that had Tomic misbehaved, he would have become a pariah in the tennis world.

I had a gut feeling that he would play well as Rafa’s doubles partner. It’s very possible that Rafa sees something that perhaps others don’t. I wish Rafa would trust his playing instincts as much as he did in his instinct to choose Tomic.

I did understand the raised voices of concern when the partnership was announced it with Rafa, nothing is black or white. Happily he will continue to surprise me. He is now his own man. He is making his choices; something he was either incapable of, or unwilling to do before.

        RAFA ROCKS

        RAFA ROCKS

      • CORRECTIONS: period after “announced,” delete “it,” with should be capitalized .

        RAFA ROCKS

    • Haha, I thought that was some esoteric math equation. Really. Thanks for making me feel dumber. LOL

I just hope Rafa has the equation to beat Nole.

      RAFA ROCKS
