  1. I think that it is a respectful acknowledgement by Rafael Nadal, to attend the memorial for the great footballer Johan Cruyff, I understand that he was in Barcelona also for a medical check up and to visit Barcelona Tennis Club. Let Novak Djokovic attend to his business and let Rafael Nadal attend to his. He keeps his life in perspective.

  2. He’s already checked out. He’s happy to do everything but playing tennis.while Joker’s busy collecting trophies, our cham is either injured, fishing, golfing, pokering, modeling or attending social events. God forbid if anyone dares to say these things.

    • Sosa, don’t you think that Rafa has loads and loads of trophies already and yes he will win more but has many more interests in his life (29) which is a very healthy outlook on life, don’t you think. It makes for a very varied and balanced view of all that life has to offer and applies to all of us humans.

  3. so nice of Rafa to pay tribute to Johan …. especially as a cule I appreciate this gesture very much

  4. He probably injured his wrist while playing golf – a common injury in that sport. The same cause of his wrist injury two years ago, IMHO. He won’t admit it for obvious reasons. Djokovic, Federer and virtually everyone else on Tour knows that golfing can be problematic for WRISTS, BACKS and KNEES (sound familiar?!?!?). But apparently, Rafa and his team never got the memo.

  5. From his gestures at the very beginning of that video, it looks like he’s indicating he hurt his wrist falling over while drinking… But probably not. I don’t speak Spanish. Seriously, I hope he’s fit for Monte Carlo, because he really doesn’t look his best here.

  6. Johan Cruyff, RIP, was an extraordinary great Soccer player !!!! Speedy, light on his feet & looping in the air like an unbelievable acrobat. His read of the game was superb and his leadership was something special. Our 15 year old son Natanel has been mesmerized by his brilliance and idealizing his play viewing You Tube clips of Johan’s brilliance. May he rest in peace, condolence & prayers to his family.

  7. I do hope you are fit n well Rafael. If not, do take a little time off like Roger Federer has done. Forget what the critics say. You are one of the greatest Sportsmen of today in every way. I do hope your bandaged hand is only for soreness? I pray for you. God bless you. Your Aussie Abuela. 😀😊😇
