ATP List: Rafael Nadal only 460 points from No.1

In the latest ATP Ranking List as of Monday, July 14, Rafael Nadal is second with 12,670 points. The difference between our champion and Novak Djokovic is only 460 ATP points.

In the ATP Race to London List, including only points earned in 2014, Rafa is second with 6,645 points.

Rafa will play his next ATP Tournament at the 2014 Rogers Cup, where he is expecting to be seed at No. 2. VAMOS RAFA!

  2. Murray has relatively few points to defend the remainder of the year, so he should be back in the top 8 before the year-end championships roll around. Del Potro is out for the year due to wrist surgery, so Murray is really at #9 right now. That could really screw up the seedings for upcoming tournaments – including the US Open – because #9 Murray would be slotted to meet one of the top 8 seeds in the 4th round – and you can bet your last dollar that it will NOT be Federer. Don’t be surprised if Rafa is the “lucky” recipient of that 4th round match-up against Murray.
