Murray has relatively few points to defend the remainder of the year, so he should be back in the top 8 before the year-end championships roll around. Del Potro is out for the year due to wrist surgery, so Murray is really at #9 right now. That could really screw up the seedings for upcoming tournaments – including the US Open – because #9 Murray would be slotted to meet one of the top 8 seeds in the 4th round – and you can bet your last dollar that it will NOT be Federer. Don’t be surprised if Rafa is the “lucky” recipient of that 4th round match-up against Murray.
