Rafael Nadal defeated Denis Istomin of Uzbekistan 6-1, 6-0 to reach the fourth round of the Sony Open in Miami. He will next play Italian Fabio Fognini.
Rafa was on the mark from the very first game, where he broke and then consolidated for an early 2-0 lead. Then on, there was no turning back. The second set was much like the first. He only gave up one game in the entire match, whilst staving off several break points to maintain his serve. This was Rafa at his unbeatable finest, serving up bagels and breadsticks from the Rafa bakery that seemed to have temporarily closed for much-needed maintenance (and rest) at Indian Wells. We’re glad it’s up and running, more refined than ever.
Another great win for Rafa, who is ready to take on the elusive Miami title. On to R4! Always with Rafa! VAMOS!
