Rafael Nadal received a couple of awards from Spanish paper Mundo Deportivo at their 66th Gala held at the Palau de Congresos de Catalunya last night in Barcelona. He has honored as the Best Athlete in 2013 along with swimmer Mireia Belmonte. A very handsomely suited Rafa bit down on his latest award, and even got his co-honoree to follow suit. This is the third time that Rafa has received this award, having previously received it in 2007 and 2008.
Congratulations, Rafa! Another well deserved trophies, and more to come in 2014!

Many thanks again for these gorgeous photos! And also the updates on Rafa’s recovery from injury! Rest up well champ, and enjoy your time at home with your friends and family. Most important to get completely fit for the first 2 Masters events at Indian Wells and Key Biscayne, Miami, and the following clay court season. I am at Key Biscayne at the moment, and the weather is perfect – warm and breezy. Unfortunately, I shall be back home in cold rainy England by the time the tennis tournament starts here. Just for the information of all you hard workers at the Rafa Nadal Fan Site, Key Biscayne is a beautiful island, just south of Miami, a veritable paradise on the Atlantic coast of Florida- if ever any of you are in the Miami area, pay KB a visit!!
