This will be the 13th meeting between Rafa and Stan. Rafa has overwhelmingly dominated their previous twelve H2H meetings with a lead of 12-0, not even letting up a single set to the soon-to-be Swiss #1 (Stan will surpass Roger Federer in ranking on Monday, regardless of his results in the final). This is an important final for Rafa, who, upon victory, will become the first man in the Open Era to have two Career Grand Slams. VAMOS, RAFA!

Even in defeat you were gracious and polite and kind to Wawrinka. I wish you a speedy recovery, a fantastic player who I have watched for years now. xx
+So proud of you Rafa. Congratulations on your semifinal victory. I’ve been behind you all of your career. I pray you play your very very best tennis tonight against Stan and I hope you’re confident and mentally fresh. I hope the blister doesn’t hamper your play. Keep taking the ball early and playing on the baseline. It’s crucial that you do that. Keep the positive attitude and the intensity that you had against Roger, as it seems as if you stayed in each and every point the way you needed to during that match. Your shot making was great, and your strategy was too. I hope you serve great tonight and get many free points on your serve. Stay enthusiastic and motivated. Go out there with passion and love for what you do. God bless you, and Good luck. Love Marylynn.
