November 18 Rankings: Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic end the season on a new high

The rankings for the 2013 season have been updated on November 18, and for the first time (as of the Nov 11 update itself), two players have finished the season with more than 12,000 ATP points.  Rafael Nadal ends the season with 13,030 points, whereas Novak Djokovic ends at 12,260 after Serbia’s Davis Cup final loss. The difference between World No.1 and No.2 is 770 ATP points. Rafa has no points to defend in January, so any tournaments he plays will be to his benefit. His best chance will be at the Australian Open, where Djokovic, as the defending champion, cannot add points.
