Rafael Nadal reunited with Australian Open trophy ‘Norm’ in Seoul

Australian Open champion Rafael Nadal was reunited with the Norman Brookes Challenge Cup on Friday, September 27, in Seoul, S. Korea. The trophy is in town to kick off the multi-country Australian Open International Trophy Tour.  We’re hoping this will be a prelude of things to come, and are looking forward to another Rafa-Norman reunion in January, at the first Grand Slam of 2014!

Rafa held a tennis clinic for kids, sponsored by Kia motors, of which Rafa is a global brand ambassador. He also signed autographs at the Sheraton Walker Hill hotel and held a press conference. The event aimed to encourage tennis among local youth and improve their game.

After kickoff in Seoul, the trophy is slated to travel through China, Singapore, and Hong Kong as it makes its way back to Australia well ahead of the new year. Read more about the tour and its schedule here. All the best to both, Rafa and Norm in Asia!
