The official Twitter account of Rafael Nadal surpassed five million followers, making him the most popular tennis player on the social network.
He joined twitter on July 29, 2011 at 3:44am EDT but it wasn’t until he created his first tweet on August 3, 2011 at 5:52am EDT that the Twitter world began to buzz and whisper that Rafa was on the grounds.
Rafa uses his Twitter profile to update his fans, in both Spanish and English, about his news on and off the court and to share photos and videos. Rafa also uses his Twitter page to spread awareness about his organization, The Rafa Nadal Foundation.
