The draw for the 2024 Brisbane International was completed today, unveiling the return of the 22-time Major champion, Rafael Nadal, after a year-long hiatus.
Rafa’s comeback kicks off against a qualifier in the first round. Unseeded following nearly a year off, our champ will play eighth seed Aslan Karatsev or Australian wild card Jason Kubler in the second round. Fourth seed Ugo Humbert lurks as a potential quarter-final opponent.
Rafa’s potential route to the final:
- 1st round: Qualifier
- 2nd round: Aslan Karatsev or Jason Kubler
- Quarter-final: Ugo Humbert
- Semi-final: Tomas Martin Etcheverry or Grigor Dimitrov
- Final: Holger Rune, Sebastian Korda, Sebastian Baez or Ben Shelton

Rafa’s last appearance in Brisbane was in 2017, when he progressed to the quarter-finals.
