22-Grand Slam champion Rafael Nadal has added Gustavo Marcaccio – a member of staff from his Rafa Nadal Academy in Mallorca – to his ‘technical team’ ahead of the 2023 season.

Hello everyone. I want to inform you of the joining of Gustavo Marcaccio to the technical team

Gustavo has been working at the Rafa Nadal Academy since April 2021 and I understand he is a good addition to the team. It sure will help us a lot to stay on the road.

Welcome, Gustavo!

Argentine Gustavo Marcaccio helped Juan Monaco reach the Top 10 on the ATP rankings in July 2012. He has also worked with Svetlana Kuznetsova, Guido Pella, Maximo Gonzalez and Paula Ormaechea among others.

The 45-year-old Marcaccio, a Buenos Aires native, reached a career-high ranking of No. 284 in 2004.

Former world No. 1 Carlos Moya remains Rafa’s primary coach. Marc Lopez also remains a part of Rafa’s coaching team.
