With his 6-3 6-4 loss to Canada’s Auger-Aliassime, our champ has lost four straight matches for the third time in his career and will equal his longest losing streak if he falls to Casper.

Though Rafa cannot qualify for the semifinals, he too has a lot on the line. The 200 points at stake in his match against Casper could play a part in who ends the year at No. 2 in the Pepperstone ATP Rankings behind Carlos Alcaraz. Rafa leads Casper by 400 points entering play on Thursday, with Stefanos Tsitsipas also in the mix for No. 2.

GOOD LUCK & VAMOS RAFA!

  1. Yessss!! So happy for Rafa. Glad he finished the season with a win. He can now have peace of mind going home. He said he was excited for 2023. That bodes well.

    • Victory at last! Rafa played exponentially better today. Looking forward to a great start to 2023 and lots of great wins and titles for Rafa in the coming year!🙂🎉

      • Rafa finally found his confidence and shots back, with so many more winners than unforced errors. Everything clicked today against the player with the most wins in the green group. Wishing Rafa a strong and successful 2023! Some more grand slams titles would make for a wonderful next season – we fans can hope and dream for the best! 🏆🥇

  2. Good luck champ! We know you’re going to give it your best shot!

Ps I had a dream about you Rafa, you looked like Carrie (the movie) and you ended a match 1-4, 6-1. What could it ever mean? Anyway I always get these useless dreams:)

    • Jill, thanks for your faithfulness to Rafa. Yes, Rafa has millions of fans in the world but most of them are not able to post as consistently as you have, so thanks for that. Like you, I’m looking forward to a successful and triumph-filled season for our guy in 2023, without the injuries that beset him this year. Vamos!
