Rafael Nadal: “I enjoy a lot of times playing with wind because for me it’s a challenge” [VIDEO]

Rafael meets with the press after his 6-4, 4-6, 6-3 victory over Carlos Alcaraz at the BNP Paribas Open.

“I tell you one thing, I enjoy a lot of times playing with wind because for me it’s a challenge,” Nadal said. “It’s like playing golf with a lot of wind. I mean, we’re going to have mistakes. The level will not be that high. But it’s about trying to find solutions all the time. The only thing I don’t enjoy is when we have to stop all the time because some papers are in, then the net is moving, then the towel is flying. Becomes unplayable for me.”

  1. Rafa tell whoever chose the orange purple and blue just don’t do my boy justice try reds blues and anything but orange purple and blue

  2. Congratulations Rafa. God bless you and please stay healthy and safe. The best in the final. I’ll pray you are able to play your best tennis and bite the trophy as the victorious one. Love you. Mary Lynn

  3. I’m hoping Rafa’s pec issue and his foot problem calm down for today’s final. But also Taylor Fritz has an ankle issue, so it’s all square I suppose. Rafa should be okay for this match and I hope he can lift and bite that trophy by the end of it. Then go home and rest up. Vamos Rafa.

Congratulations to Rafa and good luck vs. T. Fritz tomorrow.🍀💪❤️

Also good luck to Carlos the rest of the season except when his opponent is Rafa.☺️

  6. Rafa is every Mother’s dream. How humble. How polite. How positive. Just an amazing man all around. I loved his answer that playing so hard today HELPS him for tomorrow. The outlook he has on everything is just astounding. God bless him and his family… but especially Toni and his parents who raised such a fine human being! I’ll be praying for you as always, Rafa, for tomorrow. You have earned this championship already, in my opinion… Vamos, Rafa!

  7. Rafa is so honest and his recall of the matches he plays always amaze me. He knows his strengths and those of Carlos also, llovelvinyervirw. Great victory, now to test and restore energy,,
