Rafa on Carlos:
He got all the ingredients: the passion, humbleness, talent and the physical. Reminds me a lot of what I was with his age. He is a rival in the present and it’s amazing to have another star from my country, cause we love tennis.
Carlos on playing Rafa:
I think this time I trained with him a couple of times, I know more how to play against him. I think now it’s going to be a little bit different this match. Obviously he can destroy me again, but I don’t know what is going to happen.
It’s tough to play against Rafa but at the same time I will enjoy the moment, I will enjoy the match. It’s not every day you play against your idol. I’m going to be happy even if I lose that match, but I am focused right now to play my best against Rafa and be able to take my chances.
GOOD LUCK & VAMOS RAFA!
So much respect between Rafa and Carlos.
Good luck Rafa! I have nothing but admiration for both you and Carlos as you are both cut from the same cloth. Vamos rafa!
Best of luck, Rafa! Another semi-final in 2022, wow! I look forward to this match against young Carlos. He already shows such promise and excitement on court. Seems like he is cut from the same mold as Rafa. This should be a fun and thrilling match. Can’t wait!
Lovely Rafa. You do have some one to pass on your Batton from your country. But I want you to win this year and Carlos all the best. Loss for you is not a news but win will take you much higher in your dream.
Good luck rafa
Good luck and Vamos Rafa❤️

What lovely words from both Rafa and Carlos. Both are gentuinely respectful people. Rafa happy that Carlos is continuing the great Spanish tradition snd Carlos acknowledging the man he emulates, Carlos has improved very much and has played a very impressive tournament. I like and admire this guy but my heart belongs to Rafa for some 17 years. He’s so happy to be back playing, I feel that he will make the final. 🍀
