Why did Grigor break his racquet? Did he think he would suddenly start playing well and beat our champ? We’ll probably never know:)
Sheer frustration. Rafa played well, yes, but Grigor had a really terrible day, starting with serving woes, lots of df’s, errors, poor shot selection, looking like he was freezing out there in the cold ‘windy’. (This isn’t just my opinion, it’s Rafa’s, as in his post-match interview, although in my words. Among my fave things about Rafa is that he “tells it like it is” as we used to say, although he is always, always kind about it.)
