Rafa was so on his game that he thoroughly spanked Medvdev ! No contact ! I predicted a close match due to Medvedev’s play over his previous top playerss but I was happily wrong ! Rafa served well and played serve and volley and his baseline game was exceptional .He even played closer to the baseline on serviced returns at times which I think works to his advantage ! Great outcome !

Happy for such a solid win for Rafael❤️It was disappointing see such cocky bravado from Med before the match, bragging about bagelling his opponent. So unwise to blurt out what you may feel
in order to play confidently. It comes across as disrespectful to a player of Rafael’s stature. What a masterful display from Rafael today. Congratulations-enjoy the victory. Rogers Cup is a success

I was loud and not shy at all cheering on Rafa for every point he won or every point Medvedev lost, sorry to say…….I finally tried to sit still and was able to relax once he broke serve in the second set. I don’t know how the rest of you behave when you watch Rafa? I am a “crazy” fan at home or in person watching him😝
Most people around me wanted more tennis so they were cheering on Medvedev, not me lol. What a fantastic match, better than what I expected, 6/3 and 6/0, oh my💪👏
