Regardless of who he plays, Rafa has history on his side. He leads his FedEx ATP Head2Head rivalry with Monfils 14-2 and has won their past six matches. Rafa hasn’t lost a set against Bautista Agut in their three previous meetings and only dropped seven games in their past five sets.

Our champ is bidding to win his fifth trophy at the ATP Masters 1000 event in Canada, and third this season, following triumphs in Rome and Roland Garros.

GOOD LUCK & VAMOS RAFA!

  1. BEAUTIFUL HUNKY LEGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:) GREAT PHOTO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:) XOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXO. VAMOS SWEETHEART AND GO RAFA GO!:)

  2. Tomorrow should be a good day for the finals, sunny and cloudy and no rain. Doubles start at 1:30 PM and singles not before 4 PM. I hope Rafa will benefit from the walk over and win his 35th title! All the best tomorrow and Vamos Rafa❤️

  3. It’s a shame that Gael had to withdraw from his semi final match due to injury. The good thing is that it means Rafa will be fresh to do battle in the final against Danil Medvedev.
Get your teeth on that trophy Rafa.

    • You never know what will happen on any given day. By making the final Rafa is assured of keeping the number 2 ranking on Monday. Best of luck to Rafa for tomorrow.

  4. Good luck Rafa vamosssssssssssss champ you can do it all the way 🇺🇸💪🎾😘❤️🌎🇺🇸💪🎾😘❤️🇺🇸💪🎾😘❤️🇺🇸💪🎾😘❤️🌎🇺🇸💪🎾😘❤️🇺🇸💪🎾😘❤️🇺🇸💪🎾😘❤️🇺🇸💪🎾😘❤️🌎

  5. The doubles match has been changed to the Banque Nationale court.

So Rafa’s opponent will be Gael Monfils. He defeated RBA in three sets, the last one a tie-breaker. Gael wasn’t looking good physically, he has a problem with his ankle and also at times looked simply exhausted, but he still managed to win a long and close match.

    Good luck Rafa, vamos!

  6. The doubles match has been changed to the Banque Nationale court, so just the Medvedev-Khachanov match left before Rafa’s. I don’t know if there’s any rule about what’s “reasonable” rest between matches. In some cases you night imagine shorter is better. Remember Feli at Queens this year? Probably depends on the player and their situation – maybe they get consulted?

  8. I’ve just been wondering that myself. It’s now half 5 Montreal time. I don’t think there are usually any legal rules about how late matches can start, unless the stadium’s in a residential area, and some matches at the Australian Open have started at 1 o’clock in the morning, but it’s hardly ideal for either players or spectators. I don’t know if they’re just planning to have the Khachanov-Medvedev match on in between, or if they’re still intending to play the doubles on the main court as well. Stupid weather!!

  9. Hi all… Question… I’ve only been watching on and off today… It is now 5:02 pm EST and the 3rd set just started between Monfils and Agut… This could take another 45min-1hr…. I know the rule is that the players have to have enough time to “recover” … Has there been any conversation about tonights match? Will it still go on? How late can it go? Anyone know?

  10. I put Amazon Prime on about 1/2 hour ago and it *looked* as if the rain’d stopped … but there’s been no more play so I assume it’s started again. How annoying!

  11. I only know that Rafa can’t play until Monfils and RBA finish their match – and have a “suitable rest” – and currently they’re sitting out a rain delay. With all the rain this week I’m surprised the place is still above water.

    • One of the doubles semis is on the second court, so it’s 3. It’s raining again though, unfortunately. If there are many more delays and/or the singles matches are long, I think they should move the other doubles match as well, but I guess it won’t happen because Shapo is involved.

      • Thanks for the correction Jas uk. When you google coupe rogers order of play it shows the 1st semi on CC @ noon. Am very happy it’s on the other court and the Shapo semi should be there also. If not it’s disrespectful to players and fans to keep them waiting so long for the main attractions.

  12. With 3 matches ahead of his and still a possibility of rain Rafa may not start until well after 8pm. If he wins, which he should, that won’t leave him much of a rest before tomorrow’s final. Medvedev or Khachanov will have several more hours to recover than he will. However Rafa is extremely fit and Maymo will have him ready. Plus no one can beat his determination.
As a side note: kudos to Rafa’s shoe designer. His are always the best looking ones out there.
