  1. Great friends & hope they have wonderful time in SA the tennis fans will revel at the exhibition matches

  2. I know that Capetown is a long way, but Roger was wonderful to Rafa at the opening of his academy. Rafa says that Roger came to him and asked him how he could help. Rafa was so touched that he did not even have to ask Roger. Both Rafa and Roger were injured at the opening so could not play a match. It was just another example of their mutual respect for each other.

    • va4favre, but not as far as Australia. Luckily in the 21st century nothing is really far away. And Rafa seems to be very enthusiastic about visiting SA “…with Roger as his guide.” A safari maybe…

These two seem to be “working” even when not in competition. Now that he’s older, I hope Rafa can take more time off just to relax even though I think that’s unlikely being the workaholic he is.

      • I really hope that they will set a new attendance record. You are so right that they are used to travel. Also, Roger goes by private jet.

    • Rafa was clearly very touched when Roger volunteered to come help open the RNA. Call me cynical but I got a little bit suspicious when Roger and Rafa then announced Roger’s new Laver Cup together. I think Roger was buttering Rafa up! 🙂 Not that he needed to. It’s the sort of thing that would appeal to Rafa as both fun and good for tennis.

  3. I wonder what a combination Rafa/Fed tennis academy would be like. Children would learn to respect both players no matter who their favorite is, instead of growing up hating one or the other. Food for thought.

    RAFAMAZING AMAZES

  4. Novak has withdrawn from the Roger’s Cup. Good news for Rafa who will be seeded no.1 there.

  5. I have a feeling it’s going to be a smashing event.

“Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal will attempt to set a world record for attendance at a tennis match, with the help of some celebrity guests, when they play an exhibition game in Cape Town in February.

The attendance record for a tennis match is 35,681.”

Bill Gates and his wife, Melinda, are renowned for their worldwide philanthropy and especially in Africa. He is on a quest to eradicate malaria.

Wishing them a sellout event for a great cause.

    • Great to see Rafa working with Roger to raise money for a very worthwhile cause and promoting tennis in SA at the same time. Looks like it’s going to be a lot of fun. Best wishes guys.

  6. Rafa and Trevor Noah –my two most favorite people in the world.!!!! I also love Fed and Bill. Would give anything to be the rev I hope it is televised. Quite a rrip for an 87 year old girl. But I’ll definitely be tuned in. Yeah!!!!!!!

  7. Best wishes to everyone for a successful event for a good cause❤

Good luck to Rafa against Roger in singles and in doubles with Trevor😉
