Rafa has won all four of their previous encounters.

The World No. 1 has won 20 matches and 48 sets in a row on clay. His 48-set streak is an Open Era record on clay and two shy of the mark on any surface. John McEnroe swept 49 straight sets on carpet in 1984, including 10 to win the Madrid Indoor Open.

GOOD LUCK & VAMOS RAFA!

  1. Congratulations champ ! 50 sets in row ! Is their anything that is not possible for Rafa to achieve on clay. But we all know it’s his passion and hardwork that has given him everything he has achieved. Talent helps you to get victories but it’s the hardwork that helps you to make history and that’s my Rafa is making history EVERYDAY.
    VAMOS FOREVER

    • I hadnt realised that delpo was knocked out today. I like him too. Never mind – less complications for rafa i suppose in the long run.

  9. Hi Susie , hope you’re able to watch the tennis ( and not at work) Kyle is playing great for the UK in Andy’s absence and has just knocked Goffin out to reach the quarter finals. Hope he can get further but as you say if he comes up against Nadal it’s team Rafa all the way.

    • Hi Maria – yes im watching and I suspect Diego wont be hitting the ball that hard for the whole match. He will tire himself out!! Yes Kyle’s done great since last year and is flying the flag at the moment. Hope he gas a good run.

      • Gosh! I hope you’re right Susie , it’s going to be a harder match for Rafa than I thought
