Match time: Rafa is third match on Pista Rafa Nadal. Around 2.30 PM local time / 8.30 AM EDT –  New York, Montreal / 1.30 PM BST – United Kingdom / 2.30 PM  CET – Spain, France, Germany, Italy / 10.30 PM AEST – Melbourne. To convert to your local time, use this website.

Rafa on playing Klizan:

It will be a difficult match. He has three matches won, one of them against Djokovic and another against Feliciano Lopez, two good players.

I will have to play with the right intensity. He is a player who combines good moments with not so good ones but in general he is a dangerous player. To counteract it I will have to play aggressive and get him uncomfortable on the court.

I go out as if we had practically never faced each other.

Klizan on playing Rafa:

Nadal seems to be in a great form, but he is also human, nobody is unbeatable.

He is a legend. Win or lose, to face him in a quarter-final is to feel proud.

Rafa leads head-to-head 2-1, but Klizan won their last meeting in Beijing four years ago. In their first two meetings, at the French Open in 2013 and Wimbledon in 2014, Klizan both times took the first set before losing in four.

Good luck & Vamos Rafa!

  1. A good test for Rafa. Klizan played really well in the 2nd set but Rafa is Rafa. He ups his level whenever he needs to. Onto Semis Rafa. The streak continues. On a side if that Girl with the glasses is klizan’s girlfriend then he is already a winner 😋.

Oh no – there might be a third set here… Klizan fighting back (or Rafa slowing down). I’m not watching, only seeing the score, so can’t comment further.

  4. I want to see a beat down against Klizan who thinks he has a chance against Rafa by recent comments he has made.

Show him who is boss Rafa.
