  1. Rafa is second on court tomorrow and this quick turnaround isn’t good in terms of his recovery. All we can do is hope and pray, that with overnight rest and treatment, he’ll be fit enough to play.

  3. Incredible result considering what has happened. I really hope rafa recovers as i really want him to get this trophy but im thinking he wasnt able to push off his leg when serving which does not bode well

    • Susie, I think Rafa’s knee is really in trouble right now. I don’t know. Maybe it just flared up during this match, or the problem had already started before that. One this is clear – he’s extremely nervy in both matches and his USO or Bejing level is still nowhere in sight, even just for a short stretch. In fact, he was playing much better at Paris 2015.

I’m nervously waiting for this presser. I don’t think his chances to win Paris are high enough now and even if somehow he wins it or goes deep, there’s a good chance it might compromise his WTF or even further.

Toni and Moya were looking so worried during the match. Personally i hope Rafa will withdraw to be on the cautious side (hopefully) and to increase his chances at the WTF. In fact I don’t care about the WTF final that much. Only want him to stay healthy and he will have many chances next year.

      Fingers crossed…

  4. 7th DF’s from Rafa but he served well in the next 2 points and won the match.

Cuevas looks so “cool” at the net there. I already knew he’s tricky and has a reputation for taking MTO’s in the middle of a game but for him to do that again today against someone like Rafa, while he’s injured – there’s simply no justification.

  5. WO…………………………………WO………………………………..WO……………………………………5:2 3rd SET SWEETHEART!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! : ) : ) : ) : ) LETS GO RAFA LETS GO : ) : ) : ) : ) : ) : ) : ) : ) LOVE YOUR DECISIVE STRONG RETURNS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! : ) : ) : ) : ) : ) : ) : ) BH…..FH…..WO……………………………………WO………………………………….WO………………………!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! : ) : ) : ) : ) VAMOS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! : )

  6. Justice has been served. Rafa breaks back right away. Now pls finish him once and for all and rest, Rafa. 🙁

  7. Sooo worried 😩. For Rafa’s knee and for nerves and match too.

    Cmon cmon cmon Rafa!!!!!

    VAMOS VAMOS VAMOS VAMOOOOOOOOS!!!!!!!!

  8. Rafa, hope you can manage to win tonight’s match although the rest of the tournament isn’t looking that promising with your knee injury. You have secured the number 1⃣ spot and that’s the main thing, lovely to see Uncle Toni there with you.

    • Hi maria. Hope all is well. Breaking rafa’s momentum with an injury that didnt need treatment was not good. Back on serve. Cmon rafa

      • Hi Susie not a great time at the moment but at least I have Rafa to keep me occupied. Well done Rafa on your win.

  9. Looks like some gamemanship from
Cuevas there. His left thumb can’t justify breaking Rafa’s momentum sor balantly like that.

  10. Dangerous times for Rafa Cuevas has just broken back and is beginning to believe he can do it. The injury interruption at deuce didn’t help Rafa’s concentration.

  11. 2 DF’s from Rafa followed by an UE. Cuevas gifted a BP again but Rafa’s so determined at the net to save it.

  12. A bit trouble consolidating again but Rafa gets it done.

    3-0

Pls finish this quickly then get your knee checked up asap, Rafa. 🙁

  13. 19 UE’s from Rafa in the 2nd set. Not one in the 3rd so far.

If only he had played like this from the start.

  14. Rafa gets an early break!

He seems to wake up now with a bandage on his knee. Hopefully no more hipcup now and he can take a rest soon.

Oh no, still too aggressive movement from Rafa. 😰😰😰

  15. bandage way too tight in the Front of knee…..please loosen it sweetheart !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! : ) Camera showed close up….to tight…..
