After receiving the French Open trophy, Rafael Nadal addressed the crowd to discuss his emotions:

First of all Stan, congrats on a great career in last couple of years. Well done, sorry for today. You’ve had an unbelievable two weeks. I wish you the best for the rest of the season, keep going.

It’s difficult to talk today but the only thing I can say is thank you. For me to be here for many years is difficult to describe. I come back and see people I have a good relationship with and it’s very special. It’s difficult for me to compare this to any other event. You are always going to be in my heart.

Thank you to my friends, family and team. All the people who come from all around the world for the final.

Our champ also had a word for uncle Toni, his coach, too:

My uncle’s been with me since three years old. We’ve worked a lot and without him I would not have 10 trophies.

One last thing, for me playing on this court I feel the support. I love you people more than any other.

Your health and fitness is the most important but it would be fantastic if you get that too. 3. BRAVO RAFA !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Congrats to winning your 10th French Open trophy and, above all, your 3rd La Decima, which all your fans and avid supporters all over the world have been praying for. Am so very much thrilled and ecstatic for your great victory at the Roland Garros. I’ve followed it thru and thru even though my eyes were really drooping wanting to sleep. Kept praying for you until the game finished. I praise and thank you Lord for once again allowing our dear Rafa to win. This victory is so dear to his heart and for all of us following his career praying to take home his 3rd La Decima.

Good job!!!!!!!! May you take some rest for the next big event. May you be blessed to gain the big forthcoming event. You made us all happy.

    Cheers to great victory !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂

    • Melly, like you I prayed for Rafa as always 😃and this time el buen Dio smiled on the Central Court. I wrote him a message in Twitter in Spanish and said just that. I also said the sun is waiting for you in Mallorca, 30 degrees today and all this week. Some people have all the luck. The sun smiled 😊yesterday on Paris, I watched on TV, would have loved to be there. I was lucky Rafa gave me an autograph, he said gracias for my little present. Fiona in Paris

  9. So great to see Rafa doing well again! And thanks to NBC for broadcasting the French OPen!

  10. I am sure all of us Rafans are thrilled, but let us be reasonable about any Wimbledon hopes. In his presser, Rafa said that he would see how his knees felt. If he has any pains, he will pass. We all know how much Rafa has already played this year. The most important thing now is that he stays healthy.

I understand that nadal is cautious about playing wimbeldon. But i really hope and pray that he will play wimbeldon. Maybe its better for him to skip queens and rest for a week and a half

  12. Still reading about all things rafa and mats w has said in his opinion, rafa is joint favourite now to win Wimbledon. Now that’s really something. I’m unsure what the general consensus is though. We should see how queens goes as andy is also playing there. However Rafa’s confidence must be at an all time high. We will not have long to wait.

  13. Bravo querido! <3

Being a Rafan for 2 years, gone through the bad series in 2015-16 and it has finally paid off!
I'm sure this Rafa will be enormously strong at Wimbledon, too.

    VAMOS CAMPEÓN 😀
