Vamos Rafa <3
I thought he looked and sounded very subdued in that interview.
But then the interviewer asked a lot of depressing questions in a matter of a couple of minutes – his quarterfinals loss in Beijing , injuries, how he will feel if he does not make the world tour finals.
Nothing really to smile about.
Sorry fan love. I did not see the dimples you mentioned because he did not smile.
.
I thought the very same thing. Sadly, I think Rafa was upset with how he played in the second set against Mannarino and his loss to Dimitrov. This is only a guess on my part, but he may have realized that he is not yet ready to compete at the WTF as he wishes. I never thought that playing in London was a big deal. I would prefer he continue to heal and come back strong for 2017. Shanghai could be a fascinating tournament with new faces emerging. Rafa is not the only one facing new competitors.
To Rafa the World Tour is EXTREMELY important. It is confirmation of his being among the best in the world. Didn’t he rattle off the points he gained playing Beijing, after his loss to Dimitrov….
Shanghai is looking to be an honest to goodness battlefield this year.
