It will be the third time that Rafa and Andy have met in the semi-finals at the Monte-Carlo Country Club, with our champ winning their contests in 2009 and 2011. Rafa leads their overall head-to-head 16-6, but it was Andy who won their last clay-court meeting, in the Madrid final last year.
Rafa on playing Andy Murray:
Andy played a great match today. We’ll see. I need to be ready to play the way I am playing the last two matches. If I am able to do it, I hope to have my chances.
Rafa is looking to win the Monte-Carlo crown for the ninth time this week. He set a tournament record 46-match winning run as he claimed eight straight titles from 2005-2012, before his streak ended in the 2013 final against Novak Djokovic.
Rafa is bidding to win his first title of the season and draw level with Djokovic by capturing his 28th ATP World Tour Masters 1000 crown. The left-hander will play his fifth semi-final of the season; he went on to finish runner-up in Doha (l. to Djokovic).

GOOD LUCK & VAMOS RAFA!
Yes yes yes, dearest Rafa ❤️ You did it. -You’re the King 👑😊
VAMOS 🎾💪😅
All the very best of luck in the final, go bite that trophy 🍀🏆😘
ALL the best Rafa for the match against Andy, and I pray you do really well,
love and prayers,
AlaineXX
I can’t wait for the negative comments from zika-brain Laforge and MIROMO the village idiot who confidently predicted that Rafa would be out in round 2. I am sure they know exactly why Rafa ‘got lucky’ and ‘did not deserve’ the win O_O
VAMOS RAFA AND SWALLOW YOUR TURDS, Laforge and Miromo …..
Spot on with everything you said..they won’t crawl out till he loses again spouting their sanctimonious wisdom
Dear Rafa_86 and Linda Arnold,
Rein in your horses both of you!!!
Don’t forget that it was a result of the continuous positive criticisms from the Deep Thinker, MIROMO, LaForge and J.Beer that we are now seeing 95% Nadal today.
Had we joined the cheer leaders like your self to continuously praise him even when he himself admitted to the whole world that he is playing badly, Nadal would probably be No 50 or whatever in the world today!
Thanks tot these brave 4 Musketeers (or idiots as you prefer to call us) and we are now seeing 95% vintage Nadal!!!! The world owe us some award, some recognition for ensuring that the best Nadal (well, for now 95%) Nadal is achieved!!!
We will ONLY restore the remaining 5% when Nadal beats Novak and that we be the day.
Yes, that will be the day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
HAHA from the way Rafa’s tournament is going, I’ll say the match will be roughly 7-10 hours before Andy Murray’s flight back to England/Miami or to wherever his next tournament is. Booya!
Rafa please pretty please don’t make me regret this trash talking:):)
Good luck Rafa! We are all with you.
