  3. I have been watching you play tennis since you were 19 years old. You are a great champion and a very humble and polite man. I have enjoyed years of watching you play. You had a rough year in 2014 but you are coming back. There will be more wins in Roland Garros and in other grand slams. You are such a fighter. You are an absolute pleasure to watch. Whatever happens in the future is to be determined but always know that you are very special. No other player has accomplished what you have already in your career. Your family and Xisca must be so proud of you. I do not even know you and I feel the same way your family and friends do. You never fail to cheer me up. I love watching you play. I know today was difficult for you and it was your birthday no less. I hope you still had a good day and I look forward to watching you play again soon. Vamos Rafa. Your fan, Fran Zagorin

You have taught us to accept our victories and defeats as well.
And yes, Soderling is right. You are a role model for the youngsters!

Valéria (Rio de Janeiro) desire you a lot of more healthy, happiness, love and less pains, to a better future.

  7. Dear Rafa: I’ve said Happy Birthday to you at least 3 times. But I want you to know that you are the very best tennis player in the history of the game * bar none. You have given so much. You have made so many people happy and have given so many, very much joy. How many people can say that? Not too many. I hope you stay healthy in body and mind. I hope that you find a way to tweak your game so that your great effort on the court results in many great wins for you. You deserve that, you have worked so hard all of your life. I truly hope everything works out for you and you are back in the top 4 very soon. God Bless you and be happy Rafa. I love you, Marylynn.

  8. RAFA ,your lost today means nothing,of course all of us,are very disappointed,I’am very sad…what can we say that’s a game. We still ❤️you even more.Just look ahead, and believe it !

  10. Georgina Johnson says it all ………..Novak will NEVER win 9 French Opens!!!!! Happy Birthday to the ultimate champion, on AND off the court!!!!!

  11. Dear Rafa Nadal Fans,

I felt so sad for Rafa lost, i feel Rafa cant find his spirit like he shows for many years, i do hope he can comeback stronger than ever and i do pray for his health.

But one thing that i most concern about is his ranking in ATP after france open, will Rafa still in the top 10 bcoz it will be very hard for him if he is out of Top 10, considering he will face to seeded in earlier round in every tournament

After all, I am still love and proud of our champion Rafael Nadal because his spirit, attitude, personality and his passion of the game, i will always hope and pray for him the best for the rest of the season and wait for him to comeback stronger thats what i believe for many years

    Regards

  14. Kieran,So what are your thoughts post match? I thought it was horrific that Rafa was decimated at his beloved Roland Garros, and I’m really wondering whether or not this will be the end of his days as a “top 4” elite player. He will probably be a non factor at Wimbledon because of his seeding, which will be no higher than 10th, which leads to the possibility that he will play one of Djokovic, Murray, or Federer in the round of 16. Right now, nobody is scared of him, and he is increasingly vulnerablem especially on grass. I really never questioned his ambition, given the fact that he’s so close to Federer;s slam count, but now I wonder. There have been so many interviews with him this year where he’s said some variation of “i’ve won a lot already, and I don’t need to win any more, but I want to”, mneaning, it’s optional for him. That statement, uttered back in January after the loss in OZ to Berdych, made me wonder. Clearly, Djokovic has made some tactical adjustments to his game, making sure to redirect the ball constantly so Rafa has to move so much more than he does, which leads to Rafa tiring much more quickly. He’s also hitting the down the line shot off both wings so Rafa can’t settle into his cross court patterns. I just really wonder now, does Rafa have the motivation, after all he has achieved already, to come back and “solve” Djokovic all over again, ala post 2011? I don’t know. It’s pretty obvious to me that he does not like Djokovic and doesn’t enjoy their rivalry, and that indeed, he doesn’t even want to be in a rivalry with Djokovic, unlike with Federer, which, say what you will, Rafa has always liked. I always got the feeling he enjoyed their rivalry as well. Thoughts, Kieran? THis is so utterly depresssing. I’m going on vacation the 17th, thank god, although i will probably mope around about this over in Tahiti as well. xx dential and privileged information protected by law.
