Barcelona Open 2015: Rafael Nadal Pre-Tournament Press Conference [PHOTOS/VIDEO]

Rafael Nadal: “When I’m playing in Barcelona I’m not thinking about Roland Garros, the same way I’m not thinking about Rome when I’m in Madrid, because all these tournaments are extremely important.

I felt really well in Monte Carlo, where I played my best tennis of the year so far. I am very confident and look forward to recovering my top level again, continue to play in this line.

I feel strong and am ready to play a great tournament as I feel a lot better than one week ago.”

  1. FAN LOVE: What a beautiful post. Yes, God Bless you Rafael Nadal and keep you healthy in body, mind, and spirit. Marylynn

  2. Rafa Nadal is a highly disciplined, methodical and scientific personality. This is the reason why he carefully goes through all those routines in each game on court. And he has achieved immense success over the years.
Again, lots of people criticising Nadal appear to have forgotten that he’s coming off a long lay-off due to injury hence he needs to play carefully to avoid injury relapse or reoccurrence. If the injury should re-ocur, this may affect his chances at the French Open. He is therefore slowy (but surely) repackaging his game to EXPLODE at Roland Garros for the 10th time – LA DECIMA!!!
We therefore need to be patient with him. He knows exactly what to do to win, but he’s still playing safe, especially on hard courts which have caused injury to him a lot of times. In Buenos Aires (Argentina) against Carlos Berlocq, Radal did the impossible and recovered from 6 – 1 down to win 9 – 7! Incredible, only a legend could have done this magic.
In the match against Djokovic, Nadal could also have won and I’m sure Djokovic must silently be angry with himself that he could not even badgel a recovering Nadal.
Let’s be patient with him, he knows what he’s doing. He is not a 14-time GS wimmer for nothing! We’ll see…….
